Stockyards; Acrylic on Canvas (2003)

Hi there fellow geeks of Oddworld,

I recently dug up an acrylic painting I did back in my high school days. I don't think it's very good, but I thought I'd share it anyway.

The scene takes place in the stockyards outside Rupture Farms.

Enjoy.

It's very very rough and could use an insane amount of work if you ever decide to pick up paints again, but otherwise it's pretty nice and you managed not to muddy up any of the colours to the point where it takes away from the overall piece. Kudos to past you.

What are the canvas dimensions?

Everything above the scaffolding looks pretty good to me :)

well done 2003 version of you.

Thank you for the honest critique, Slog Bait. I totally agree; it's quite rough.

I don't have a tape measure or ruler on hand, but it's something like 18" X 22".

I don't think I'd ever go back to this; however, I'd like to try my hand at some digital paintings of oddworld scenes. I bought a mid-range wacom tablet recently; I'm trying to teach myself -- it's slow going.

Thank you, V_O_T. Yeah, the scaffolding area didn't come out well, which is unfortunate: that's where all the creatures are.

That scrab looks so done.
