Johnnyk89 sent me an email asking a question, and because he was actually quite polite about it (at least compared to all the other emails he's sent me) I decided to post it here for him.

Hi oddworld forums I have notice something on the level editor program about How to add FG1 layer from image file mask. Now the mask file its like an image file dose it have to be a BMP format? I've tried everything to make the FG1 layer work but it seems to me did not work once I click remove FG1 layer and it give me a error window "This camera has no FG1 section" dose it mean I've have not add the mask file to the image or something else? That's all I want to know about it.

So this guy was actually legit and not just the best troll ever? Shit.

Also he does not see how can be done.

You'd think if he was having problems with the editor, he'd contact the author of the program.

To answer his question, you can't replace FG1 segments yet. It's do-able, but not implemented in the latest editor release. And the error "This camera has no FG1 section" quite literally means there is no FG1 data.

If he really wants to add FG1 segments of his own, he should reverse the format.
