Call me crazy, but...
I may have possibly figured out when New N Tasty will be released, to me, it's become obvious the way these weekly screenshots are going, every week, a screenshot comparison of the next level is being released, and what I mean by that is that so far, we have seen Rupturefarms, Stockyards and Free Fire Zone, all released in that order, and it is of course the order that the levels are played in. So let's start by listing the levels in the correct order.
Rupturefarms Stockyards Free Fire Zone Monsaic Lines Scrabania Scrabania Temple Scrabania Nests (not sure if this counts) Paramonia Paramonian Temple Paramonian Nests (Not sure if this counts) Stockyard Return Rescue Zulag 2 Rescue Zulag 3 Rescue Zulag 4 The Boardroom Now, I'm basing this on the assumption that screenshots of each zulag of rupturefarms will be released separately. So that's a total of 15 levels, (13 if you don't count the nests) which in my mind equals 15 weeks. Now so far we are up to week 3. So my assumption is that after the final screenshot is released, the game will possibly be released very shortly afterwards. With the 15 week count, it brings us into August, with the 13 week count, it takes us up to July. Anybody else thinking this? Or am I on my own here and just being silly? |
I think you're giving JAW too much credit to have planned it out to that much detail.
Also, they said that they wanted to wait until pre-E3 to announce the release date because they wanted to be sure that the date would be accurate. There's no way they could make an accurate prediction with a four month window. |
That's a nice theory but wouldn't that kind of spoil the game for the people that never played it before? I mean there isn't much point in showing that Abe goes back to RF, the way back is essentially going trough the same places anyway.
True, but the change in colours in the Zulags really make each one stand out.
Sorry, but no.
Nice try, but no.
You're crazy.
Someone call the nuthouse.
That sounds just like a Half-Life 3 theory.
It's not a bad theory. It's the kind of thing that we'd be up for. But that's not what we've done. But hey, maybe it'll happen by sheer coincidence!
I don't think JAW would hand out screenshots of the boardroom scene. Spoiling your own game isn't good business.

The Da Gilray Code.

Yes but we don't know how Molluck is getting electrocuted. oh when the new players find out...
It was the slig.
It was the whocares.
It was skeleton jelly.

:
It was the power-packed taste of Sunny D. |
:
Or perhaps it was because they loved the lightning effect they were able to create and wanted to share... |
:
Spoilers? Perhaps, but I reckon the only people who'll pick up on Mullock getting zapped are the core fans like you guys, who kinda already know the story, right? |

Bare in mind that someone playing the game for the first time almost definitely won't get that ending.
Back when i was young i completed Abe's Oddysee for the first time and completed it with 99 Mudokons saved. It took me a good month or two though, However I doubt anyone this era is that patient, so it's more than likely they will fail it first
I like your sample size.
I played Exoddus first and remember managing to complete it to good karma just fine.
Psychological damage from Fleeches/Paramites notwithstanding, ofcourse. |
:
It took me years to find all of the secret areas! |
I completed Abe's Exoddus with all 300 mudokons when I was very young. I only completed Oddysee with all 99 for the first time just last year. 98 was my best before, one bastard was hiding in Scrabania somewhere.
I know exactly which one you mean.
Wait what?! MOLLUCK DIES?!
I was hoping Molluck would be secretly opening portals to save the rest of the glukkons from Abe the terrorist while he was doing his thing escaping.. |
Molluck doesn't actually die, but it's meant to be assumed that he does at the end of AO.
