Audio changes in NnT?
Hello All!
Now I know that we haven't really seen too much of gameplay to know exactly how the audio design is going to be in the game, but it got me thinking... Some of the sounds from the original game are so iconic to all of us that having them altered or so different it viers off of what made the atmosphere of the original game. Sounds like: Mechanical Pants Possesion noises (ie Takeover/Explosive goodness) The death tone Portal noises So what are your guys thoughts? Would slight changes in audio not bug you? Or would it make you want to tear your face off and wait for a audio mod for NnT so you could use original sounds? |
Hello New 'n' Tasty. The main sounds I'm thinking about is Scrab, Paramites, and Chanting. The rest can change a bit and it wouldn't sound too bad. (okay, maybe the sneaking too) The chanting is just so... perfect, mystical, how else do I put it? The chanting I hope is near identical, if maybe just higher quality.

I think they rerecorded everything, so it's not going to be exactly the same soundclip.
On the other hand I think they will do the same as for the rest of the things we've seen so far: do something new while staying as true as possible to the original game. |
Are you asking people whether or not you are New 'n' Tasty? Cause I doubt it, you don't seem like an unreleased video game.

Yeah, that's why I never use it. It might be easier, but it fucks people over all the time.
As for the actual audio changes, I really don't mind them. Game's meant to feel all new and exciting, and the original isn't going anywhere. :) |

I haven't noticed a change in the pants sound....
It is still the same, right? Otherwise, JAW did a great job! (as usual!) I don't think audio changes will be bad for the athmosphere of the game. It needs to fit todays quality and standards, so changing it a little was necessary, I guess. |
