Munch oddysee for pc post.

this is pointless but I'm not doing anything else so might as well.
I want MO on PC because I can't afford to buy a console, and because, well, consoles are gay and pointless. every person has a computer in their home, what the hell is the point of having a seperate machine to play games on. in my opinion Oddworld Inhabitants should have just released MO on PC and no other platform. this seems like a conspiracy to get people to spend money on consoles just to play their game. I was hooked on Oddworld the first time I played the AO demo. I went and got the full game and later AE without hesitation, and now Oddworld will loose a devoted consumer just because they made a bad choice of putting their game on Xbox or whatever the hell it's called.

I want munch for pc becous iv never bougth a game console and I never wil becous I dont play games enoug to make sutch an investment worht while. So if munch dousent come out for pc I'll never ever buy it. :(

I wish they could some how make a Oddworld game for as many systems as possible. PS2, XBOX, Gamecube and PC. If they want Oddworld to reach a lot of people Multiplatform can be a good way. Since most of the PS2 stuff we saw is not in the game, they should have made that stuff for PS2 and PC, and maybe make Xbox a different game. Alot of the Fans of Oddworld are young so they won't be able to buy a new system everytime a more powerful console comes out.

here in this part of canada the xbox is $499.99 and we just don't have the money to afford it so i will never get the chance to play MO because none of my friends can afford the xbox eather :( :( :(

It would be good to play MO on the PC.
I'm the same as Xavier, I played an AO demo and i was hooked, I bought it then got AE without any second thought. But I doubt that MO will be on PC :(..

Consoles are just stupid, because the company only makes them to own more and more money.
But a lot of times when they make games they make mistakes, like MO.
I saw thousands of people around the internet asking if MO was going to be for pc, so OWI could make even more money doing a pc version.
What i really think is that there should be a pc version of every single oddworld game in the quintology.
I won't fall into microsoft trap, which is giving them money. :p :p
But apart from reasons, i think that OWI has seen this post but i'm not sure :confused:

well i got the pc version and got hooked so i would like the whole oddworld collection to be on pc since i started on pc plus i can't afford xbox

i know i say this too much but don't give up hope maybe if we are lucky we will get MO on the pc. you never know!

After reading this post, I am reminded of how incredibly, stupidly lucky I am. (I'm almost like Abe in that respect.)

It's a long story, but my family managed to acquire access to an Xbox. I guess the system could be described as follows: three families share one Xbox, and rotate it between themselves on a weeklyish basis.

As soon as I found out we had access to an Xbox I jumped into action and bought MO, and even though the game was ridiculously expensive I am convinced it was worth every single penny. Heck, I would've paid the same amount of money for the story alone. However, I wouldn't have even touched the game with a seven foot pole if a) we didn't have the Xbox, and b) it wasn't out for PCs.

Once it's my families' turn to have the Xbox again, I'm going to beat MO a second time and try for the bad ending. :D Envy me, mere mortals! Mwuaha!

(By the way, which is better: Halo, or DOA3?)

I hate it how so many people can't get over the fact that the rest of The Oddworld Quintology is only going to be on the Xbox!

...I mean sure its more expensive but its also more powerful when it comes to games then anything else out their including the average PC... So stop ya wingin about how expensive it is and go get a ****ing job!!!

...I couldn't afford it ether because my savings came to ownly about $300. But then I went out and got a job this summer and I didn't complain about having to pay $650 for a Xbox plus whatever MO costs. And since then I have managed to earn over $500. So on the 14 of March I will be able to buy my Xbox and I will know I have earned it. :D

im not rich so even its my money my parents will go ****ing crazy buying such an expensive console when i have a PC so you see its impossible for me to play munch unless its on PC i can get upgrades for my PC and say its for work

I have the mony but I'm simply not gona buy an X box, if it was onely out of principle.
I JUST DONT BUY GAME CONSOLES.
I think it's a whaste for me to buy a machine just for playing games.
When I can buy a pc on wich I can play games, create websites, scan my art, enhance my art, make stuf for school, make cool pictures, play with 3D sudio max, go on the internet, write cd's, play dvd's and video cd, print, listen to music, etc.
O and there is alot more choice in pc games then there is for any game console.

And for the x box being better. Sure it's better then the avarage pc now but in comparison pc's wil keep getting faster and faster and there is a faster one on the market almost every day. So in a jear or two (maybe even less) the x box will seem slow and outdated. but it'll probably be a few more years after that befour a better x box wil be out.

hey thats a great idea! wait a sec xbox costs $500.00 here and MO costs $70 my family isn't exsactly the richest family you'll ever meet so we kinda can't afford it.

unless MO comes out on pc i will never get to play it

that ends the oddworld quintology for me. Oh well i figure somthin out.

oh and a little problem with getting a job...i'm 12 FRICKIN YEARS OLD NO ONE IS ACCEPTING A 12 YEAR OLD TO WORK FOR THEM

it costs about £400.00 and MO £50.00 thats alot compared to other consoles here

If oddworld decides to put every of there coming games on somthing that isent pc. They are going to lose money on not putting it on the pc. Almost everybuddy has pc, and how many do they think is going to by consoles just to ceep up with the quinolegy, or watter its called. Im not saying that there games are'nt good. I love there games! But it cinda feels that oddworld is letting us PC players down. I probably over reakting, but im mad&sad right now.

I think that the problem with the X-BOX is that there aren't good games on this console (exept from munch offcourse, but even this game is not good as i expected it to be).

The Only reason I want Xbox is for Munch's Oddysee. I also want PS2 because I love ALL of its' games. ( not counting football and crap like that)

3. Oh no, you wouldn't want to buy one of those great consoles with the great graphics, the hard drive and the comfy controllers. Oh no!


And, yes, I do think if OWI wanted to reach more people they should have made MO multi-platform. It shouldn't have been that hard to make it available on PS2 as well as Xbox because the engine they use is PS2/Xbox compatible.
I don't know about it being released for PC though, from what I've seen, it looks more like a console game.

To Xavier: The Xbox is the closest console to a PC, it's archetecture is basically the same as the PC's.

I haven't played on it much since I'm in the UK but can you honestly say Halo isn't a good game?
Or maybe you prefer franchises...

Actually I would have perfered Oddworld : Munch's Oddysee to be on PS2. Cuz I don't want My parents to get me X-BOX, then I beat MO then I'd be asking for PS2 anyway. (after XBOX). It's just plain stupid. Alkl the other games on XBOX mainly SUCK!

Munch's Oddysee is definately not the first game I'm getting. I'm getting lots and lots of games before I get that...
E.g. Halo, DoA3, Amped, GTA3, MGS2, JSRF, PGR, et cetera add infinitum.

I cant make my mind up! Its real sad how there are now 3 new consols out/coming out, all costing a bomb and the games costing a bomb.

As for munch being on Pc??? I dont think that would work, how good would the graphics card have to be??? not all people have good pc's or can afford to upgrade pc's.

Its all just too stressing!!!

I cannot afford an XBox, but I wouldn't buy 4 just one game.
So if should be relased on P.C,if not I'm gutted as I'm a BIG fan.:mad:
