I have not seen a single picture of Abe without his lips stitched. Besides it's kind of his "thing".

What the FUCK is with his eye!?

I actually love how much emotion he's conveying there.

Of course we all remember that classic description of Abe: the skinny blue guy.. with extremely purple arms and legs.

And glowing fluorescent green around his fucked up eye.

This is Abe as canon would have it. His arms have been mildly purple at best throughout the years. You can't really think he doesn't look quite... bizarre on the PC PowerPlay magazine?

It's the lighting. It's always the lighting.

The saturation in the cover picture is just really high for some reason. The colours seem to be right, otherwise.

The image I picked was taken from TOGG’s Rendered Art section of Abe’s Oddysee. Also from the same section:

• And guess what, purple arms and thighs.

And let’s not even begin to talk about Abe’s Exoddus, because hey look, more purple arms and thighs.

In-game footage, even stuff taken from cutscenes, is not going to match up 100% with how Abe is “supposed to” look. I would put high quality rendered art above anything taken from the original games, mainly because rendered art is going to more closely match the “intended vision” of what the artists. And as the tech improves, so in-game characters begin to more closely match their pre-rendered designs.


That’s easy, brighter colors are more eye-catching and sell more magazines.

I don't give a shit about a single thing in that image except the fact that he has 4 fingers again, and that is the single greatest thing to come out of NNT.

No, Abe had 6 fingers and was bright pink in the original version. This is an outrage.

I'm struggling to think of more things to complain about.

Nah, seriously, you're exaggerating. We (or at least I) don't complain just because it's different from original. The point is most of the changes we've seen so far are ill-considered and serve no purpose whatsoever.
