SWINGING SPIKEY BALLS
THEY NEVER STOP SWINGING
For a second I thought I made this thread and I was like what
There's a bat symbol. Bats for AbeHD confirmed. :
Good try, but that was Galileo's work.
:
Oooh now that's fucking beautiful.
And here I was thinking that this would be some kind of Abe horror game of some sort. I'm pleasantly surprised, because this looks great.
This is amazing. Awesome work, JAW.
Beautiful :D Just what we're hoping for. I'm pleasantly surprised and super excited now! Very well done to the artists at Jaw!
I like it!
Let's hope the hitboxes are the same as the originals, I want the new players to get the full experience.
:
e: where are the bats. I see that wall carving, there’s gonna be bats. bats |
I hope they're a lot less annoying to get by this time. Looks absolutely great!!
This is hard mode. The bats are invisible. You need surround sound to track them.
And the game doesn't even support surround sound. It's THAT hard.
Bats are set to permanent Terry Garrett mode.
Great work, but fuck you guys for adding in the spikey balls. No, seriously. Fuck. You.
:
Actually, you have a point there, Nate. I think most of my hatred for them really comes from the bug in the original where they could hit you even if you were nowhere near tem.
that image is so crisp and clear. Paramonian Temple? beautiful.
i won't be saying that when i'm trying to get past the fuckers, though. |
Yeah. You should remove quiksave. It takes all the fun away.
:
I could be wrong, of course, I'm just going with what Lorne said. :) |
I came.
That looks amazing! If anyone watched my LP. You'll know how much I hated the spiky balls. :fuzmad:
I can't really see them being too hard anymore though thanks to Quicksave and 3D models. |
:
I for one, am now looking forward to bats and spiky bollocks. If I'm gonna die repeatedly at least it'll be pretty now.
oh wow look at the little mushies!
i didn't notice them before. does Abe trip his balls off in this version? |
The Big Face hallucinations; courtesy of some damn good peyote and a handful of psilocybin shrooms.
The only thing I don't like about the screenshot is the weird green lighting near the bottom of the walkways. It makes it look really "funhousey".
How did the Mudokons even make them balls? I've never thought about it before but it'd be pretty difficult to make a perfect sphere out of rock with primitive tools, let alone stick wood through them. Also, I can imagine certain parts of the game, including this area to be really difficult without the grid system. |
