Still no word for Oddworld on Xbox, but we might be getting closer

Well see now that's a bit of a shame, I was looking forward to watching them crash and burn into their own cesspit of incompetence. They're definitely the next Atari and Sega in line to demolish themselves.
It's great that someone in the company has a brain cell left and realised that they need to change these major design flaws. But have the little guys been making enough noise about the lack of support for self publishing indie games? I don't think so. They've sorted out some of the massive cockups, but I think the money-centric assholes at Microsoft could sleep another night without indie games on their platform. |
Disclosure: my xbox 360 is connected 24/7 and I never sell or lend my games. Still I think this is great news.
I agree this is a step in the right direction, let's hope they start addressing the other complaints too, such as those publishing policies bullshit. |
I agree with Connel, I was hoping they would fail miserably.

It's funny to me how stupid, and petty you all are. Thousands of jobs rely on this company staying viable.
|
I don't want Microsoft to go under at all, however, if they stopped antagonising the consumer base and listened to them (which thankfully they now seem to be doing) they would be in little danger of drawing these sorts of reactions.
It's similar to EA being voted 'worst company in America' despite many other companies having far more influence and being far more actively evil. (Monsanto I'm looking at you). |
In any case, kudos to JAW for not taking Microsoft's cash for them to advertise new games as seeming Xbone exclusives.

Disinterested and uninterested.

In addition to that, we don't get paid to release on platforms. We get some perks, like playing the game up on stage at E3. A bunch of money is not one of them.

You should have held out for money. Or at least demanded points. Points are really important, I hear.
I just like finding excuses to post clips from Home Movies. |

Microsoft made a stupid mistake with the Xbox One and I personally wouldn't give a shit if a company that treats its customers like this is kicked out of the industry because of its own greedy plans. Speaking of the NSA, Microsoft has been backing and supporting privacy infringing laws for years, including SOPA, PIPA and this entire business with the NSA. Companies like that can go to shit for all I care. |
