So, I was a bit bored...

...and thought: "Hey, why not do some drawings, since I don't draw for almost a year?" So, I put my headphones and started to draw. Here's some images:
http://i43.photobucket.com/albums/e3...ps85a81b56.jpghttp://i43.photobucket.com/albums/e3...ps9bd3087d.jpghttp://i43.photobucket.com/albums/e3...ps3968fdb0.jpghttp://i43.photobucket.com/albums/e3...psf71542de.jpg

It felt good to draw again.

DarkHoodness 03-24-2013 08:18 PM

That isn't bad. Have some rep.

Oddey 03-24-2013 08:35 PM

That is pretty good.

Varrok 03-24-2013 08:54 PM

Now draw him smiling cheerfully

That looks like the smile of a man who knows where the bodies are buried.

OP Ryu is great though, keep it up!

Varrok 03-25-2013 11:11 AM

Nice! Although I can't rep you more, sorry :(

STM 03-25-2013 11:31 AM

...why can everyone draw amazingly except me? On a tablet I can just about manage an erect penis...that is the extent to which I can create art digitally. Super awesome work dude.

Vyrien 03-25-2013 11:36 AM

Practice makes perfect.

STM 03-25-2013 11:47 AM

So what you're saying is, keep drawing penises?

REP ME!!! I'M GONNA GET REPPED!!!

That was the sort of the point. Ryu has a darkside and is tormented by it everytime, so smiling for him isn't like Ken, who is a goofy and cocky characters. Therefore, the "shy smile".

So what you're saying is, keep drawing penises?

Yes, until you a got a perfect shaped and shaded penis. Like this:

Ahah, I wish. I'm not professional by any means, but I do like to draw. I mean, we live in the age of the Internet, so who knows if I get a job/work online? Thanks man.

Slog Bait 03-28-2013 03:18 PM

Illustration is hard. So hard. And it's not even difficult in terms of skill you have to have an obscene amount of patience for that shit and your time management has to be good and just

fuk

Though if you can get past that little tidbit no matter your skill level if you stick with it eventually you'll get some recognition for your work ethic at the very least. With your current skill level though you're bound to be recognized for more than just sticking to what you've started. If you ever decide to try it out, I wish you the best of luck.

I really like how well you're able to portray emotion on his face. It's something I still have trouble with. :/

MeechMunchie 03-28-2013 03:33 PM

I admire anyone who can do block shading because I can't.

Depending on your style of drawing, it can be done in two ways. "Studying" other images/works or a mirror. In this style of drawing, you really got to exaggerate the smile/smirk and any other emotion. Like I said, it depends on your style of drawing.

I won't say it's easier, but it's faster to do a complete drawing with it. At least to me, that is.

And just because nostalgia hits hard sometimes, I just had to draw this:

with matching intro:

Groovy is right.

Steamer_KING 04-02-2013 06:25 AM

I know, the other day I stumble upon the intro and nostalgia really hit hard. God, I loved the times when I wasn't concerned about anything...

Git'Im 04-04-2013 08:58 AM

Awesome job man

Steamer_KING 04-04-2013 09:26 AM

Thanks new bro. As of now, I'm making a new sketch for a friend. Will post it here, ASAP.

Steamer_KING 04-12-2013 01:53 AM

As of now, I'm working on this:
http://i43.photobucket.com/albums/e3...ps3128fecd.jpg

http://i43.photobucket.com/albums/e3...ps12014a3a.jpg
I'm still not entirely happy with it, so...it's taking it's time, between tests and exams.

Oddey 04-12-2013 03:26 AM

A batwoman in a one-piece swimsuit and high heels? I can't say I see how you got that idea, but I'll say that it looks good, if also strange.

Steamer_KING 04-12-2013 03:31 AM

It's Morrigan Aensland from Darkstalkers/Vampire.

Vyrien 04-12-2013 04:22 AM

I love how half of that is filled with Lilith.

Looking great so far, please continue.

Steamer_KING 04-12-2013 02:27 PM

Next week I'll continue this work, because now I have to study for two exams...*sigh*
Do not lose faith in me. Please. Don't.

Steamer_KING 04-14-2013 08:08 AM

Here's something back from 2006:
http://fc04.deviantart.net/fs13/i/20...NGodfather.jpg

It's Mugen, from Samurai Champloo. It has some issues, but hey, I was 16.
