They're under €5 in a bundle. That's less than a days food. Why not simply buy them? Save up some pocket money and ask your parents if you're too young to have your own debit card.

You're gonna get a lot of stick if you admit to pirating the games on here, you'd be better off not mentioning it. Or better yet, they're very cheap games.

Thanks for the answers, but i can make only one purchase on Steam, because im not english nor living where money is $ or € so my parents regulate how i can cost my money for games! And i have deleted the pirate version, so i only have Hardmode.
I think i will buy it!

The money you spend buying Oddworld games goes directly to the developers (after being taxed etc) to give them enough funds to create more games! This is why Oddworld should never be pirated/copied, because it has been too long since we have seen a new game! :)

I'm sure if someone said they where going to murder you unless you spent £5 on these games that you'd find a way..

You only need one purchase to buy all the Oddworld games. They're in a bundle.

Thanks all!

I bought the OW pack to support the company even though I already have them both on disk.

In reality though I don't think they have the moolah to make a completely new game or maybe they do and they will release a brand new series after N&T because of my £4 donation.

I had a friend at uni who considered making an open-source Abe clone. I doubt he got very far.

There is always this: http://oddlvlgen.codeplex.com/

Don't you think he already owns all Oddworld games?

I don't think you get his point. It's about having a similar game engine that is open-source, easy to use and provides a nice editor with scripting functions, nice 2.5D Graphics, etc.

Because let's face it, with the editors for the original games you're pretty limited in what you can do. And it gets old after a while, so I understand that he asks for an open source alternative.

He said in his original post that he only has the pirated version of the game. I think he meant a free version of it that wasn't a pirate.

Paul 04-20-2013 02:36 PM

I agree with Jordan, it's pretty clear to me that he's pirated the game and wants a free but legal version.

http://oddlvlgen.codeplex.com/ is as close as its going to get for now.

Well for one thing you can help the amazing guys at Oddworld Inhabitants make more games for you by actually paying for their product.
And for another I highly doubt that if there's another game with chant, side-scroll and fun gameplay, you'll get very far by simply googling these keywords.

Thanks everybody

Yes! This is what i want. A free 2d sidescroller with something like posession.
Until there is no free game, i will buy the originals.
Thanks all the answers

Nice try, but you've already told us you've pirated the game. And using a copy that pirated is STIL pirating the game :s!

A free 2d sidescroller with something like posession

1. Find a free Mario clone on an arbitrary flash game website.
2. Clear your head of everything you know about said clone.
3. Pretend that the entire plot, and all its gameplay, is all a complex gambit and that the protagonist is actually possessed by Abe the entire time.
4. Problem solved. Maybe then you'll stop leeching off Oddworld Inhabitants.

Nemin 05-22-2013 05:27 AM

Finally i got oddworld pack on steam! This is so coool!
sorry oddworld guys for being a pirateshit :(
