A few questions about level editing
 
Hi all! There's my first message on this forum. I have some questions about level editing. I know this forum much time and read many pages and threads before registration, but i didn't found something else:
1. How to delete the barrels on the first screen? (AO)
2. Where's directory of all oddworld sounds, skins and movies? (i want to replace them later)
3. And the question, which I didn't find before: what about replace CAM's in AE? I found the information about injection dll file, but I don't find download link.
PS: Sorry my bad English, I only study of its. I hope I'll be good member here, because I very love oddworld games. This is my childhood:fuzsmile:

Welcome on Oddworld forum, I hope you'll like it here. ^^

1. Right-click, remove FG1 layer.
2. You can't change sounds, skins and movies right now and I don't know if it will ever be possible.

I understand the decision of the first and the second problem, but about the third:
I download this file earlier and put them into AE and level editor directory, but nothing happened.

I think that file might be just for specific versions of the game. You'd have to ask Paul about it.

1. Already answered - (FG1 will be editable in the next version).
2. In AE sounds are in sounds.dat, in AO they're in .VB files (which are in the LVL archives). It would be pretty simple to allow editing movies in the next version (provided you can use masher.exe to make new ones).

Edit 2 : My exoddus is too old and CD broken (My brother buy it in 1999 and now the game CD is broken so can't play anymore --')

Ok so I can put cams, but when I go in the screen there is a lot of colors, so strange I'm scared, and I can't launch my game if dll is in the game folder

Try using a re-release copy if yours doesn't work. Mine is pretty much brand new still since I install it once and stove everything back in it's box. :)

Error... Why level 5 (I don't know anything about levels)?

HOW TO REPLACE CAMs IN EXODDUS:
1. Go to Kapteeni13's files:

2. Find "Editor 0.6.1 AECAMEDITOR"
3. Download Paul's dll:

4. Extract launcher from first link to the your editor folder.
5. Extract dll to the your exoddus folder.

It's 5 because it's 5 :) If you put another number it will not work :)

l1 (monsaic) : 2
f1 (paramonia) : (impossible to edit)
f2 (paramonian temple) : 4

If screen haves more doors than one. Then ID's would be good to use. ^^
"ID" is "Door ID" actually
"Target Door ID" is "Switch ID"
"Type of door" is "Target Door ID"
