Team Fortress 2 Talk V2
Decided to make a new TF2 thread due to the next Halloween update coming later today!
http://www.teamfortress.com/images/p...l_merasmus.jpg Potions! Zombies! and a new Boss! It's gunna be good! |
Let's hope so! I'm having some friends playing TF2 with today, so let's hope it kicks ass.
|
Well this thread is popular.
Anyway. I've been playing the event and it's really fun. way more enjoyable then last year and I love the random perk system when you capture the point. The problem is however when the Boss appears, you want to kill it. And the only way to kill it is to have both teams focus their efforts on attacking the boss. Obviously that doesn't happen, and there's always one little prick killing everyone. It's annoying. |
This looks fun, pity I don't have much time right now what with exams coming up.
|
I wanna start playing TF2 again but every time I try and install it on my laptop, something fucks it up.
Someday. |
Who wants to take some heads off?
|
I think it is due time we organised an OWF MVM match. I think we have enough people for that.
Played a bit of that new KOTH map. Kinda felt like the previous Halloween events - same old story with a boss appearing randomly, everyone suddenly stopping killing each other (apart from some who take the opportunity to rack up some cheap kills, because their skills are so sub-par or just prefer trolling) and focusing on the boss and then getting a hat as a reward. I haven't yet managed to play the new MVM map yet. I may have felt a bit disappointed when I saw that zombies made it into the game in the end. I remember how satisfied people were when they saw upon release that MVM isn't about killing waves and waves of zombies. Nonetheless, I will try it eventually. |
The new MvM Map is horrible. Not the map itself, but the wave. 800 enemies with no checkpoints. the only good thing is they give you 4,000 credits at the start.
|
I don't know about you, but I fucking love the new MVM map.
|
So about that OWF MVM match?
|
I'm up for that. Shotgun Soldier!
(actually no I'll be using the Buff Banner :tard:) |
I tend to play Heavy or Engi.
|
I can run around and piss everyone else off!
|
I find Spy or Soldier most fun to play, although I have no idea if I'm any good or not; my point records for them are 34 and 32 respectively.
I'd love to play, but my ping would almost certainly be over a third of a second and likely more. I can pop in and see, I guess. |
Count me in. I'll be able to fill in any role that no one has taken, I'm that versatile.
Next question is, when is the best time to do it, and how do we notify eachother? Do we just start inviting people into a Steam chat and go from there? |
Meh, I'd probably be busy with school. If by chance I am available, I'll go Demo. P:
|
Just completed a full Tour of Duty with my mates and got my self a Blood Botkiller Scattergun. Chuffed to bits :)
|
Worth noting, you can now Buy and Sell TF2 Items on Steam. You'll get the money into your Steam Wallet.

And since that day, many people have put "Grinding for TF2 items" into their CVs under Employment History.
|
New TF2 Update! (for the 3 of you who actually care)
I did a video of it. (and I know Cosmetic is spelt wrong in the thumbnail, I've changed it and I'm just waiting for it to update) |
just noticed this topic. Nice of you to continue the tf2 talk thread i made. thanks crashpunk.
|
The Engineers make very little difference in game play to be honest. The first time I played through Big Rock, we didn't notice the Engineer do much other than building a sentry in the corner shortly before it went missing in combat.
|
No way, If you let him build a teleporter, it's devastating. You'll get full health big robots coming in to the map half way towards the bomb site.
For once, Spies are actually really useful on MvM. |
