well done you for finf how make paramite stockyards!
Um
What ?? |
And what happens when you chase it onto the same screen as a Scrab?
I bet it crashes, however I've been waiting ages for you Oddworld modders to make a screen with both a Scrab and a Paramite in it.
Also Cun't Spill. |
It won't crash, they just won't react to each other, as they aren't programmed to.
:
It doesn't crash :)
No, he means if there were Paramites and Scrabs on the same screen.
I know they wouldn't react because there has been a thread about it before, Jordan. |
Yes I know
Video makes me feel i look into PS1 Abe's Oddysee Manual for somereason. :D
(Hey and can't wait if this is new mod.) ;) |
Pretty cool seeing the Paramites in the Stockyards!
:
I always thought a few Paramites in the stockyards would be cool, nice work.
I don't know that scrabs and paramites on the same screen has ever been tested, Nep. I believe you're quoting me on the matter from when it came up in a hypothetical situation ages ago.
I don't think that putting them in the same .lvl has ever been particularly successful. |
It would be amazing if someone could figure out how. Just seeing Abe being chased by Scrabs and Paramites would just be awesome.
And it's what we've always wanted to see isn't it? :D |
Ah, I see. So it did crash when they were put on the same .lvl?
Abe chased by Scrabs, Paramites, Sligs & Slogs at the sametime. Ultimate chase moment... http://www.oddworldforums.net/images.../icon3_odd.gif
But, is Scrab & Paramite possible in same level? http://www.oddworldforums.net/images...icon10_odd.gif |
Phylum said it hasn't been successful, but you could give it a try, and post a video of it.
I placed both paramites and scrabs in the same screen, and nothing happened, abe got chased by the scrab, and then the paramite killed abe when he got cornered.I made a level about that in the finished lvls thread I think.
:
Scraby do you reckon you could make a video of that? I think we'd like to see it :D |
Lol I'm makin what you have just tell me, a very very long chase by paramite and scrabs in a sort of necrum mine/mudanchee volt/mudomo volt lvl !
I took look into all level files with Cheat Engine (Hex Editor) i found out that f1.lvl, f2.lvl and f4.lvl contains Scrab & Paramite sprites inside level. :D
Also i started make new level and video of it. This little chaos haves also Sligs and Slogs to mess players thoughs while running background: This level will be still slightly at beta stage. http://www.oddworldforums.net/images...icon10_odd.gif EDIT: Wolfenstein posted at the sametime something interesting... http://www.oddworldforums.net/images.../icon3_odd.gif |
Lol,poor Abe.Well I might do a level in rupture farms again with scrabs n paramites, but my video recorder sucks at recording ao or ae -.-
I have start though would one manual hex edit make Scrabs work at RuptureFarms. I compared all levels that have Scrab sprite file and all bytes look same on each level that contain Scrab. Should try pasting these bytes to RuptureFarms.
Feels that it only crash, but worthy to try if it still would work... :fuzwink: EDIT: I know there is easier methods for pasting sprites with Paul's tools. :p |
They both try to kill you but they don't react to each other, or sligs (in AO at least).
It's really nice talking and also really nice above comments, guys, i also want to say something about it, I have been patiently waiting age groups for you old-world molders to create a display with both a crab and a parasite in it...
I have no idea why it took people so long to make a Stockyards with Paramites in it.
It's to easy too do it
Exactly, the only difficult part is adding the .bin files, it's a pain in the ass.
Btw the next editor will make that easier as in the xml you can say which files an object requires, so when you save a path it will ask for a level that contains whatever.ban and push it into the lvl you're saving.
