Maybe if you haven't looked before, but the most users ever online on this forum was over 500 users. I'd like to break that record, making the most users online to at least 700 users. I'd like everyone to participate, so tell your friends, enemies, and teachers to get on the forum and browse or post something! The date in which we will bring this into action will be Saturday August 25 4:00pm. My time zone is pacific standard, I'm sure you can do the math, have a great day oddworldians, I hope to see you browsing and posting on August 25 4:00pm!;)

Lol true Abe HD will bring alot of people back on this forum. I'll remove this thread a create a new one when the forums become populated with lots of people.

Good luck with that. I'd give you some rep if you found at least 100 (and documented it, posted screenshot or whatever)

My gut feeling was that the vBulletin code that counts and stores the number of online users predates significant search engine activity and it's never been updated. Or it has been updated and Peter hasn't bothered installing it yet.

I've been thinking about that number since I joined. This might as well be the best place to ask, so what are the chances of resetting the 'most users' ticker, if possible?

I asked about this in a blog. Nate said it was most likely an overload of bots.

I like to reset that number too since when Abe Oddysee HD come out i whant to know approximately what the public response is.

The Sales would better reflect on the public response then anything else. Still, That's actually not a bad idea. It would defiantly be a good way to see if more Oddworld fans are being made, And maybe even old ones members might return to the forums.

Lorne Lanning released a PR statement announcing he was venturing into porno flicks.

Hours later he released a second statement retracting the first, around 300 of those 500 traveled to taco Bell parking lots and killed themselves.

I just did some googling. The Most Users stats can't be reset without accessing the database directly. And that's just stupid.

The bots shall rue the day..
