One cam isn't a thing to be proud with. Make 20 cams and involve them into the level. Then I will respect you.
For this cam (Oddworld compatibility): 7/10. Too cartoony and clean, add some dirt.

Wow. gishygleb is judging people. Haha.

Good Work, anyway.

If we're judging then I would say 3/10. What gishygleb said before and it needs to be more real looking, and plausible. Like come up with a story for every cam.

To be honest, it doesn't look 3D at all. It looks like simple textures layered over one another in photoshop. If you're wanting to create decent 3D CAMs, download Blender and learn how to use it. I used google skethup a few years ago, and it was rubbish, not worth the bother.

With blender, you can set up lighting which will create shadows. You're cam looks shadowless and flat. With a little bit of work you can make your cam look a lot better! :)

But I thought it was just something little for Google? I don't know.

I don't even know what it's supposed to be.

Well it looks like you've tried. I think it's missing depth though.

xXxrenhoekxXx 08-20-2012 02:49 AM

it needs a lot of work, it looks extreamely flat (considering you made this in a 3d program, this is just lazy), and lacks any real detail, it looks like you just copy pasted everything in.

Wow. You guys are harsh.

STM 08-20-2012 03:46 AM

I think honest is more appropriate.

Phylum 08-20-2012 04:34 AM

See, that was harsh.

STM 08-20-2012 04:47 AM

Again, not really.

Crashpunk 08-20-2012 05:34 AM

The truth can sometimes be harsh. We don't tend to be mean though.

Well I didn't

Varrok 08-20-2012 06:20 AM

I think it's better than his previous works. And I'm honest.

I don't think its THAT bad, I'd say its OK. But as others have said you'd need to create a bunch of CAM's that can be used as an actual level in order to get the overall feel for it. No reason some new factory couldn't be squeaky clean.

Edit: Out of 10 I'd say 7.5/10. The platforms look a bit too big and flat. And the grey sign thing needs something on it.
