Oddworld LVL Editor / Not Startet
 

Hello, i have a little problem: I use now the Oddworld LV. Editor (Version 0.6)
I can new Objects and my Background add. The only one what i not can is my Created LV. starting! ("Run Level" undert the Option "File") I I always choose the game application (exe) from. (Up Oddysee released (AbeWin) and down Exoddus (Exoddus). The Game have i of Steam!

(I have even now the Game place in the Desktop problem!)

When i click Apply and the Start. Start by my not my Lv. but it startet the Original PC-Version Of Oddworld: Abe's Oddysee!

I have the lv. Of (01) RuptureFarms Editing!

Can me Help Please?!

dont use a version of steam maybe steams version dont is compatible with level editor.ask to paul he is the expert :P

obviously you haven't done your research (I can access the files in steam easily)

I'd help out but I'm not sure what you're asking :P

Easy, just run the game like you normally would...

Is it really necessary to run it through the editor?

I can see the he push of "Run Game" and in the Search Ordner have he die Game EXE off Oddworld: Abe's Oddysee (AbeWin) bye Steam and under is the Game EXE of Exoddus See they this?

By my startet not my Editing Lv. but the Original Oddworld: Abe's Oddysee Game EXE (AbeWin)

It give only 3 or (4) Tutorial of this Editor!
And i can nod perfekt english, and all Tutorials it english AND very fast!
Not perfekt Tutorials!

(Have Paul a Tutorial Of this Oddworld Editor?)

Is this the same problem i had? Hmm...
When i opened Editor and went to straigh looking game files i had two same file names called r1.lvl and r1.lvl O_o

Only difference in opening was that another file had lock icon and another nothing...
I remember i deleted other r1.lvl and it started to work. But dont know was it with lock. =/ :)

Edit: Lock iconed level file could be only seen when opening .lvl file in Editor.

Aso i have only one r1.lvl file! not two!
i find out, that i now the game of Steam used not!
I YT user (The of Link) has written to me. it's read: "your abe's oddysee is from steam ? because maybe the problem is this. i haven't abe's oddysee from Steam , i've the original disc :)"

But the Steam Game is the original Oddworld Games for PC! for Download not as CD or? is ever now of the year 1997! It run by me not good!

It should work fine with Steam and none Steam versions, works OK for me with the Steam version(s).

Are you sure you viewed installation folder with Editor? :)

? I find under the Levels of Oddworld: Abe's Oddysee only one r1.lvl file?
i that not good? Must go it two r1.lvl be? i than must go i delete one?

or is that out good when i only r1.lvl have?

"Meno" this is not easy/Simple is it hard!
But when this good becomes, make i very much own Oddworld: Game
My Plan is "hoppla!" This Say i not! :D is my plan and Game!

So, i hope their/your can help me!
