Strange Screen in Abe's Oddysee
 

hello guys ! i 've Abe's Oddysee for ps1 and pc but this screen ..... i never see this in my versions :

the "electric wall" doesn't exist in my versions.

there is also in this video at 0:27 :



i know that exist an another version of abe's oddysee for ps1 released only in USA. it calls Abe's Oddysee ver 1.1 with some variables : Cheezy Promo and ..... this screen maybe ?

I think its from the demo, it had the eletric to stop you from getting there.

I thought it's from when you return to Rupture Farms. I could of sworn it's in all of my versions after you return.

There are several variations of beta screens from Abe's Oddysee, is it just me who finds this sort of thing extremely interesting?

In the second section of Rupture Farms in the PSX demo there was another electric wall too.

After the door it would activate by an invisible trigger and kill the mud that was placed on it. I wonder if the above shots are from the 1.6 PC version?

I had though same things when i played PC version.
(PSX Demo / PC) version haves something similar in screen CAM :)

The electric wall is there when you return to Rupture Farms. In the PC demo, it's also there when you first visit there. That USA only PS version seems interesting though.

The electric fence is definitely not present when you start or return to Rupture Farms in the PSX version I own or any other I have ever played, nor is it there at any point in the PC version I own. I don't know where you got that from. Here's a screenshot from the return to Rupture Farms.. the screen is identical to the first time you're there;

As far as I know this electric fence was only present in Demos, which is why it is curious that the screen in mention at the top of this thread apparently featured in a full length version of the game. Possibly a beta version none of us have seen before.

I've never seen a fence there, except in the demo.

Why is the screen so haphazardly scaled up by ~17%?

I just played the game and checked it. Also, the PSX version is slightly older than the most recent (2.0) PC version, closer (or equivalent) to the 1.6 version.

It's possible that you have an older version of AO – press F1 while in game to see the version number – if it's not 2.0 it's not the most recent release. Either way, I would be thankful if you shared you version with me, I'm wondering in what ways it's different from my version.

In Abe's Oddysee 2.0 CAM there appears that there is Electric fence in screen background, but no object (if i remember right) :)

This makes me wish that i could have 1.6 version RuptureFarms I / II :( ;)

If I remember, there's more electric wall when you return but none of them actually works.
