So it's an ongoing Team Fortress animation series, basically.

But will it be 2D or 3D?

If you sign up for the newsletter, there is a image of the Pyro on the left. This is part of the ARG that Valve have made just a few days ago for the upcoming massive TF2 update that features 'Meet the Pyro'.

Actually now is a good time to talk about the TF2 ARG. (We can make this the TF2 ARG thread.)

It started on the 19th June and 7 really odd items were added into the game.
They don't do anything but are apparently craftable. They Drop alongside usual drops (For example a weapon drop plus one of these items) some are really common and some are really rare.


The next day. If you have the Eliminating The Impossible set on the Medic, the item descriptions will change. When all the item's new descriptions are put together, it makes out

Anyway, I can't be bothered to tell you everything, There is a lot more to this and a lot more coming up which is really exciting :)

Oh but one last thing, The TF2 Blog updated yesterday with this.
It translates to 'Monday' in Morse code.

The Update is obviously on Monday and if it's like the other updates, I will be a week long :D

What does it take for a free game mode to not make you bored?

It'd be unwise of me to criticise it while it's not up. I just have a feeling the gamemode won't feel much different from others gameplay-wise. Just a couple new graphics. I'm pessimistic

I'm confused. Is this new gamemode already available? Or are they just releasing info the next couple of days building up to the big update?

I think it is the big update. Or at least a major part of it.

As it normally goes, all this stuff will be available when the actual update goes live. See the countdown.

Just watched it. Erm... The beginning looked pretty promising, but then... Well, watch it first if you haven't already, you'll see. Who knows, you might like it more than I did.

It's finally official. Pyro is a girl.

Pyro is? How come?

Apparently by the mere supposition that he (yes, I said "he") perceives himself (again) as a bringer of joy and colour to an otherwise barren world. It's interesting to see how Valve played on the already-unclear identity of the Pyro. Upon reading some comments on the video, it seems that many people heard the Scout saying "He's not here, is she?", which I did not hear being uttered at all. And of course all the magical wonderland thing with lollipops confuses people further still.

And I think it was irony, Varrok.

In retrospect, the video is better than what I originally thought of it.

I think people are looking into this video too deeply. It's just a funny video about a video game character. It's not like TF2 has some deep underlying storyline or anything. It's just a funny little character video.

Fucking right on. Something like this is exactly what I expected, and I am happy for it. I'm laughing at the people still arguing Pyro is a girl, it's been five years going.

And obviously he's a man since every single character said HE.

Why the hell would anyone think Pyro is a chick? Just look at his form. No tits, no curves, no nothing. Man.

I mean, COME ON!

The more zany fan theory is that not only is the Pyro a woman, but that it's the Scout's mom. And the award for "Most Hare-brained Ass-born Theory" goes to...

This video has totally polarized the community. Half of them love it, half of them are pissed that they didn't reveal Pyro's identity. The latter half consists entirely of plebeian fools who have no idea what they actually want. If Pyro's identity was revealed, he would have no appeal.

The fanservice chain:
• Fans clamor for a shout-out
• They get it
• Accuse paramour of "selling out" and stop liking it

The Pyro's identity has been revealed, though. He's the fucking Pyro. Just like the Scout is the Scout, and the Heavy is the Heavy.
