Oddworld on Keyboard?
Hello, I would like to know how I could learn some Oddworld music on keyboar.d ANY hlep would be appreciated.

You could listen to the music, find the correct pitches and rhythms, assemble them to form a skeletal arrangement and then fill out the arrangment with your own knowledge of harmony and the range of the instrument. Then apply such force to the keyboard that the desired key(s) is/are depressed.

Make sure you plug in the keyboard before you try to play it.

Some Oddworld music is piss easy to learn by ear, if you're a musician, just listen for what notes and chords are being played. I forget which SW song it is but basically the only notes used are: A B C and D (5th string on a guitar), I worked out Monsaic Lines as well, which is almost equally as easy. This is because most Oddworld music is ambient and subtle.

90% of Oddworld's music has no actual melody, and it's just untuned percussion and weirdness. I've transcribed "This is RuptureFarms" in musical notation, so if you can read music, I can send it to you.

I'd like that. :) And thanks for all your help guys! :D

I can't imagine any Oddworld songs would sound good played on the keyboard unless you got insanely creative about it. My reasoning being exactly what Sekto said.
Good luck in your endeavors. |
Look to John Cage for inspiration.

I totally want to hear anything you come up with though, I love hearing covers and remixes. And in your shoes I'd see this as a challenge more than an obstacle. =p |

There's actually quite a lot of muted piano synths and gamelan percussion in the original Oddworld soundtrack. Two things John Cage worked with extensively. |
But were there amplified cacti?

Interesting. Thank you.
