IGN article on "Near-Death, Rebirth, and Future of Oddworld"
Hello everyone,
here is a link to a new IGN article on the fate of Oddworld. Nothing particularly new, but a nice summary nonetheless. http://games.ign.com/articles/122/1222894p1.html peace |
Brilliant article. The story about Stranger's Wrath failing was upsetting though.

Yeah sounds like the PC market gave them a battering in confidence. How Gilray said he thought he ruined Oddworld, bad for him really quite harsh, but in a good way it shows you how much he's wanting Oddworld to do well.
Too bad IGN couldn't expand on when the new stuff such as PS3 patch, PCHD version and MO would be released. Kinda been a blackout since, well the release of SWHD. Again though sounds like they are working solidly with pure graft, just wish the PC market with Oddboxx weren't so outraged, and because of that, it meant basically putting oddworld on hold for a good year. |
As critical as I tend to be of these projects, I do hope that they are successful enough to start making actual new games in the series.

:
PS3 patch: Soon. PCHD version: Not long after. MO: June. |

Interesting article with some nice background. I especially like how quick and enthusiastic Sony was about the idea of bringing Oddworld back.
I also liked this bit: :

Good article, liked it. The man who wrote the article, not so much...

Care to explain?

Mitch Dyer was responsible for some of Playstation Magazine's reviews that were pretty damn bad and when people gave him feedback on them he instantly blocked them and re-tweeted the posts and commented something like "Oh lol, another troll! Blocked!" even when the feedback was good/constructive criticism.

That does sound a little cuntish.

Oh. I assumed that you didn't like the way it was written when you said that. Because that would be relevant.
