Hello everyone!
I think about: There is NO OddWorld multiplayer!
I know, there is the odysee multiplayer, but
i want to play with more humans :fuzsad:
there is no way to play more than 2 person?

I probably mentioned this in the Abe HD Ideas thread but I think it would be great to have online for Abe HD to work just like the multiplayer did in the PSX Version.

When moving forward with the OddBox, we started getting some rather grand ideas. One of these was to create a multiplayer component for Stranger's Wrath. We've always been interested in bringing people together with media that has the power to question social standards, so yeah, multiplayer was kind of a no brainer.

We put together a team, and we went to work. I'm not going to get into too many specifics, but I'll say this. We finished it. We finished it, and we loved it. We made some fantastic multiplayer. Then we put it into beta. For a very short time on Steam, when you downloaded a certain game, you received the multiplayer beta of Stranger's Wrath with it. This is where things went wrong. We put it into the hands of the people, and it was an eye opening experience.

After the third time that I was called a "hippy faggot", I decided to pull the plug. No more multiplayer from this hippy faggot. No, sir. We are also cancelling our foray into social networking. I have realized, finally, that people are degenerates, and should never be allowed to communicate with each other.

I agree! There'll need to be changes though. The obvious ones are adding online/LAN support and support for more players.

A problem I noticed is that the other player(s) will have to wait a long time if you're a pro. Maybe add a time limit for turns?

Smells fake to me. I could not find any evidence of a stranger's wrath multiplayer beta on google anywhere. Unless Lorne confirms it, it didn't happen,

In all seriousness, it'd be way better if the Mudokons made use of industrial technology and became slowly corrupted by it until they were not much different to the Glukkons. Deluded into thinking they were still somehow spiritually better than their cephalopodic competitors they would wage constant war against them; eventually they would succeed and wipe the very last Glukkon off the face of Oddworld but Mudos would be left in smoking ruins. Then Abe would have to destroy his own people to save what was left of it.

I just wished Stranger's Wrath at least had co-operative mode. Not all multiplayer has to be GoldenEye style.

I think that'd be boring as hell, as you can probably do most of the game without dying once. If the game must have multiplayer, designing it to support Trine-style co-op would be pretty decent, though you'd have to make up another character. Maybe using that short stocky guy from the concept art where Abe+1 are looking at some cave paintings.
If not for the whole game, then maybe as a separate section with a tangential plot as in Portal 2.
Not that it really needs multiplayer.

Sup guys. We actually did make a multiplayer where you have to solve complex challenges that require 2 or more people (similar to portal 2). But then the budget ran out and we decided to exclude it out of the final game. Don't worry though, multiplayer will be in Abe 3 :p

I honestly think that the Oddworld game that needed Multiplayer most is MO - But that's only because the entire game is designed to be one, except for the small sections where only Abe or only Munch are available.
