EA shows renewed interest in the Oddworld franchise
 

With JAW's PR machine hard at work, apparently EA took notice that there are still quite a bunch of fans out there.

"The Oddworld franchise has been very successful in the past. Just Add Water is doing some very impressive work on remaking the experience. We don't want to get ahead of ourselves, but despite past events we still believe Oddworld would fit right in with our current portfolio."

Well... FUCK! I swear if EA gets anywhere near Oddworld again...

The problem with SOPA wasn't that it would stop piracy; if there were was a way to do that without any possibility of some of the nasty side affects SOPA might have had, I think most people—myself included—would support it.

If people are going to spend countless hours creating something, whether it's a game or a movie or an image editor or anything else, why should they not have every right to ask money for it? And sure, you can argue that piracy is not stealing since the company doesn't actually lose anything, but does that also mean that it's okay to travel on a train without paying for a ticket? Or to hire a plumber and then refuse to pay them? Or to rape a prostitute?

Anyway, on topic: it took me longer to realise this was actually a bad thing than it did for me to realise it was an April Fools' joke.

I wouldn't be surprised if those bloodsuckers showed a renewed interest now that Oddworld is getting their shit together and showing promise on the market. I'm pretty certain that even if it were true, Lorne would fart in his hand and slap them in the face before letting them drag their greedy nutsack over Oddworld's face again.
