Favourite Game moment thread
title says all; post memorable scenes you experienced in a game
I start with this |
Funny, you make a thread about memorable moments and the first one you can come up with isimho forgettable (Cliché), medicore and fuckin' unoriginal (all hail the Sovereign, ultimate enemy with no real motives [as for ME1] at all... kill all organics because.)
|
but the voice is awesome!
|
Got me here. But it's NOTHING compared to:
Huge Fallout Spoiler (starting at 1:08) http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=AjK3aX8kcr4 Compared to this ME scene feels like a bad ripoff |
Ignore the buffoon talking over my precious memories. |
Pretty much every Introversion Software game is awesome
This game is pretty cool, I wonder if some of you guys know it But seriously: Metal Gear Solid. Can't choose just one cutscene |
That's not Abe's Moon.
|
I thought the ending of Mirror's Edge was beautiful (obvious spoilers). The song is great.
This one requires a bit of backstory. In Dark Souls, you've just killed the boss Quelaag the Chaos Witch and this is her sister, Quelaan. You're able to talk to her if you have a special ring and what she says to you is pretty sad when you realize what you've done. I'll be honest, I almost cried when I first heard this during the credits. If you've played Arkham City, you'll know why. |
dammit can't watch 2/3 of these videos because haven't played the games.
Mirror's Edge ending was kinda plot-holed for me, as I didn't kill the guards on the roof and they disappeared. I don't like ending music being called Still Alive either. |
It was not a triumph.
|
WARNING! OBVIOUS SPOILERS AHEAD!
Portal 2's ending almost made me cry, It was the beautiful music mostly. 100% ending to Crash Bandicoot. You ride a giant bird with Tawna. Another Crash one, (OANST is going to love me) The boss fight with N-Gin in Crash 3: Warped was always a favorite when I was a kid. Fighting Red in Pokemon Gold/Silver. The music is amazing. The most tripped out moment in Video Game history. Zelda: Twilight Princess had so many great moments. In my opinion had one of the greatest endings in gaming. The boss fight with Zant, I love when games take you back to previous locations like this. He also goes crazy at the end :tard: The final boss fight splits into 4 separate fights, each very, very epic. |

That's really the point.
|
It did actually make me feel sick playing it. Nevertheless, It was fucking amazing.
|
The funk, man. The funk.
|
A huge favourite. |
All of Saints Row The Third.

I don't think I'll ever forget the cutscene where Otacon raves on and on about fucking biped robots, though. So boring. I spent the whole thing wondering why I hadn't skipped it yet. |
You're mad.
|
I apparently thought that he only meant the cutscenes for some reason.
I don't even know where that came from. It is probably related to me thinking it was Friday last week all day. |

3>2>1>4
Shame that apart from the Shagohad chase, there really isn't very many moments in 3 that stand out independently of the overarching plot. The ending is perhaps the greatest video game ending of all time, but it's something that builds up gradually over the game and hits you with the force of a thousand suns. |
That scene in MGS2 was just madness. I had no clue what was happening at the time :D
|
Zaeed, the badass mercenary from Mass Effect 2. I love watching this scene. Never has the ejecting of a thermal ammo clip been so poetic and dramatic as shown here.
|
Speaking of MGS2...I love MGS2. The speech Snake gives Raiden in this video was epic. This game gets such a bad rap nowadays.

There are some people who likes MGS2 the least, I'm not one of them, but just sayin'

Wrex is just the best. After that, Garrus.

Fuck everything, this is the greatest game moment ever. Nothing is parelell to the awesome might that is the Jinjonator. When I hear that deep, distorted "Jinjo", I get chills down my spine. I really oughta play through Banjo-Kazooie again. |
