Stranger's Wrath doesn't start
I had this problem where when I loaded the game the loading screen comes up and then nothing happens, it just freezes. I tried this on another laptop and it still didn't work.
System specs: CPU: Intel Centrino duo 1.66ghz Ram: 2.5GB DDr2 GPU: Intel GMA 950 (Modded driver: Sherry driver 1.3.1) OS: Windows 7 Professional Now the other one actually is the first of the intel 9xx series to be dedicated (pixel shading 3.0 etc) and it should have actually worked, so I think that the Integrated Graphics Processors can't be the problem, I really don't know what is... Other lappy specs: CPU: Intel core 2 duo 1.83ghz Ram 2.1GB DDr2 GPU: Intel GMA 965 (x3100);(Modded Driver: Sherry 1.3.1 for x3100) OS: Windows 7 Professional I don't know if it's that both Laptops have modded drivers but I haven't had problems with those at all. EDIT: I had this same problem on both laptops with Max Payne 2. |
As far as I can tell I have a different problem, but I'm not sure I should post an almost identical thread. If I've done wrong, mods, please don't be too hard on me. :(
So... well, Stranger's Wrath doesn't work on my laptop either. After the loading screen, everything goes white. I can still play the game by sound, but I'd prefer to be able to see what's happening. I have Windows 7, dual core Intel Core i7 2.80GHz processor, 8GB DDR3 RAM, and switchable graphics with an integrated Intel card of some sort (I can't actually figure out what it is) and a dedicated AMD Radeon 6630M. I Googled the problem but found just one thread on the Steam forums with no reply. Has no one else had this problem? Can anyone with an Intel or AMD GPU play Stranger's Wrath? |
Quite the same with me, I only hear sound.

Intel GPUs simply won’t work, their OpenGL support is woefully inadequate.
Ench, you might be able to play, but you’d have to find some way of disabling the Intel chip and/or force the game to run on the AMD chip. |
