Hi,i recently got abe's exoddus for pc (remember the last topic about how i downloaded it?)
does anybody besides me have the problem where it won't show the "show me what happened" video?

Is it set on 'Fastest' or 'Faster' Abe's Exoddus?

No.it's just regular Abe's Exoddus.

There should be 3 executables. AE, Faster AE and Fastest AE. MM is suggesting you try them all. I don't actually know what they do, but I can't see any harm in trying them.

I don't know if that applies if you're using the Steam version.

Did you download it from Steam?

If yes, right-click on the game name, click on Properties, go to the Local Files tab and click on the 'Verify Integrity of Game Cache' button

no,i didn't download from steam.i have the original cd's.

Well, if you downloaded a ripped version from the internet, they often delete some of the videos to reduce the filesize.

How big was the download?

wasn't downloaded.it's the original 2 CD's.

Then what the heck is this about?

Faster and Fastest disable the *Snigger* 'graphics-intensive' parts of the game such as cutscenes, FMVs and screen transitions.

It was a reference to the other topic i made about how the cutscenes wouldn't work when i downloaded a ripped version.

Then it must be your computer. By 1997 standards, do you have a bad machine?

My good-by-2003-standards computer runs it well, but encounters issues with FMVs freezing leading to me playing without a disk.

Which brings me to an interesting question. Is the disk in?
