Is my new computer better than my old?
 
Hello,yesterday i got a new computer.and i'm wondering if the specs were better than my old computer.

old computer specs:
(this is a dell dimension 2350)
processor:INtel pentium 4 CPU 2.00 GHz
name:Intel 82845G/GL/GE/PE/GV graphics controller
chip type:Intel 82845G graphics controller
sound:soundmax digital audio
music ports:microsoft synthesizer,Soundmax digital audio,microsoft MIDI Mapper.and Microsoft GS Wavetable SW Synth.


New computer specs:
(this is a HP pavilion 7915)
Processor:Intel celeron ~1102 GHz
Name:Intel 82810 graphics controller
chip type:Intel 82810
Sound:Intel integrated audio
Music ports:Microsoft synthesizer,MPU-401,Intel integrated audio,Microsoft MIDI mapper,Microsoft GS wavetable SW synth, and MPU-401 (emulated)


so,which one is better?

Assuming you don't actually have such a ridiculously powerful processor and mean MHz, your old computer had one twice as powerful. You didn't mention how much RAM they have, either, and the amount of free disk space would also affect how well something runs.

Also, it's not just the power of the components that determines whether you can run something. Some software is just incompatible with some hardware.

Everytime i go to Music Thread V5 my computer freezes 'greatly'...
It's not miracle my computer year is somewhere 2001-2005. :confused:

i used dxdiag to find that,so it's not my fault that it says it.
