Palin not running for president.

YES.

Normally I don't pay too much attention to international politics, but this was one of the potential things that I wasn't looking forward to in 2012 - And I'm glad that's been averted it seems. Having someone as idiotic as her running one of the most powerful nations in the world would have been... Well, probably worse than when Bush was in power. Now lets hope this decision stays permanent - And that someone worse isn't in the line-up for the US 2012 elections.

This was obvious from the beginning. All she cares about is getting attention and making money from that attention. She never really wanted political power, otherwise she wouldn't have quit as governor.

I'm actually disappointed. She's popular enough that she might have been nominated. And then Obama would have crushed her.

Crashpunk 10-06-2011 12:59 AM

So Obama is staying in? or is there anyone else trying to run for President?

Dixanadu 10-06-2011 02:09 AM

Keep conservatives out of the White House.

Who gives a damn about the US elections though? You trade one bumbling fool for another, the only difference is you don't have any experience of the mistakes the new one might make.

That being said...Thatcher was in power for what seemed an eternity.

Bullet Magnet 10-06-2011 06:34 AM

She is a celebrity without a portfolio, and has lots of money. She has and is everything she ever wanted to be. Why would she run for president?

Mac Sirloin 10-06-2011 05:13 PM

I'd vote for/have sex with Sarah Palin. I'm pretty liberal in most of my politicals, but so is she if you know what I mean.

Better to be nailin' Palin then ridin' Biden.

Pfff.... that's lame. You're lame.

Palin just doesn't (and never will) have the perspicacity for the Presidential office; though we've had some prtty good mental low-rollers in there, haven't we?

Sekto Springs 10-06-2011 07:57 PM

You just wanna jump Biden's incredibly brittle bones.

.

Full of green dust.

Dipstikk 10-11-2011 06:51 AM

There is no reasonable democratic candidate. Just a not-so-changey right-of-center plant and a bunch of loony neo-cons.

Oh, and a conservatarian.

Just thought I'd share.

Hazel-Rah 10-11-2011 07:34 AM

I want Ron Paul for president in 2012 so he can audit Fort Knox and destroy any last shred of credibility this country has left, seriously.

This is how I've felt for the last three elections, honestly.

What? Dude, I thought you didn't care about politics. You never miss an opportunity to tell me that.

Sekto Springs 10-11-2011 08:07 AM

I don't. Because the candidates are all morons. :p

Alcar 10-13-2011 08:52 AM

I'd just like to announce that I too, will not be running for President of the United States.

Alcar...

Phylum 10-13-2011 02:59 PM

Who are they supposed to vote for now?

I wish Darth Sidious-I mean, Dick Cheney-would run...He could frighten any country into submission.

Mac Sirloin 10-18-2011 06:06 PM

Did you know that Dick Cheney literally doesn't have a heartbeat?

"In early July 2010, Cheney was outfitted with a left-ventricular assist device (LVAD) at Inova Fairfax Heart and Vascular Institute to compensate for worsening congestive heart failure.[145] The device pumps blood continuously through his body.[146][147] He was released from Inova on August 9, 2010,[148] and will have to decide whether to seek a full heart transplant.[149][150] This pump is centrifugal and as a result he is alive without a pulse.[151]"

StrangerEastwood 10-18-2011 07:29 PM

My God, it all makes sense now!
