Best TV show intros ever!
I'd like to start with this one. "The Mysterious Cities of Gold"
Feel free to skip the prologue and go straight to 0:27 for an epic song. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kq5Y_ogiyi0 Please feel free to post your own favourite TV intros! |

A few of my favourites:
|
We've had these threads before and I've posted this in every one.
|
|
that's all for now. |
JEBUS KRJST, at least post them in a smaller form.
|
|
Oh and how could I forget!
|
|
MMMMMM, Lotus 7 :)
|
Love the jazzy sound of this one.
Also jazzy-ish (though the visuals for the credits aren't as good as season 1, which I can't find on Youtube): And this one is just brilliant. *sigh* Meanwhile, does anyone ever actually bother listening to any of the videos that others post? |
+ rep to AlexFili, I thought I was the only one who remembered Cities of Gold - Wow, that was a huge nostalgia rush from my early childhood...

|
Old ftw. |
What was it like DarkHoodness? I've only seen the intro.
Here's my second submission, "The Adventures of the Galaxy Rangers": http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=k3EoBl5uBfU The animation on that intro is simply beautiful. That Poirot intro is good. I loved the show (that and Columbo). Elfen Lied and Xmen 80s were good shows. I really loved watching Tintin as well! "Blistering Barnacles!!!" |
All fantastic |
Didn't even like the show itself that much, but I love the theme. |
:
I haven't yet been brave enough to watch it as an adult, in case all of my positive impressions were just from nostalgia. |
|
Favourite show ever. Two very good powerful openings that both capture the tone of the show perfectly. Best intro song I've ever heard. Overall the best and most original intros I've ever seen. Absolutely wonderful. |

Ah, I was very much a fan of the 90s Spider-Man. That's why I like the films so much along with the videogames Spider-Man 2 and Spider-Man Friend or Foe (Which is such a fun game when you unlock all the sidekicks)

QI, Have I Got News For You, 8 Out Of 10 Cats, Who's Line Is It Anyway?... British quizcoms always have great intros.
Also Spongebob. |
I remember playing the captain of the Spongebob theme on the microphone of a coach once.
|
I'm not trying to be obscure with this one, it's just damned catchy.
Oh, Jim Cummings. Stop voicing Tigger and do cool shit again. :
Now that I actually have a sense of timing, the cuts of the show all seem premature. The beats are all out of order. There isn't a single shot in that fucking show longer than five seconds. |
Holy shit I remember that show!
