Oddworld RPG: Rule Book

Hello everyone. As you may or may not know by now I'm a bit of an RPG nerd...and while in the past there have been some very successful role plays, recently by AlexFili, we haven't ever had anything that might be comparable to D&D, Rogue Trader or Cthulu Mythos. So I have taken it upon myself to create and Oddworld RPG with rules, inventories and a bestiary. But I have to ask you guys, about some of the specifications since I do want to release the finished edition to y'all.

Do you think it should be heavily stat based or more moderately stat based, i.e. do we want a Cthulu Mythos/ Rogue Trader game for advanced players or a more simple type thing that doesn't involve dice and adding up and all that shit that structures the back bone of a successful RPG?

Also, do you think that the game should be internet friendly over actual RL playing? I.e. do you want to be able to play in chat rather than in real life?

Finally, should the RPG be a single player type thing or multiplayer where a GM has control over what goes on and controls dice and stats e.t.c. ?

Any extra information is appreciated and perhaps when it's done we could give it a trial run?

Ah thanks, I wasn't too sure if it should go here or there because it was a consensus thread. Keeping you on your toes Splat. ;)

I'm not quite sure I understand. Are you making this a forum RPG or are you actually making it in C++ or something?

No it will be a P&P game but built for play over a forum/ chat application if specified.

I think the whole dice things works. Confusing as all heck, but so long as one person knows what they're doing, it should be alright.
