oddworld and exodus
 
i've had exodus only for a while but had oddworld since it came out on PC and loved it. since playing exodus i can honestly say that i feel a little let down. it sounds like they changed abes voice and the graphics seem worse not improved. and oddworld had a good story line to it the new one seems slapped together and rushed i was dissapointed :( oh well love the new will just stick to that :D prob still finish the second though hehe

Well it might of changed a bit since it was a year after, plus it had new phrases. Also, the Hi! Y'ello! and Hiii... where added to make you know how you were doing in terms of escapees. It was a nice addition in my opinion.

Well if your still in the beginning of exoddus, keep playing, it gets good. You'll notice alot of improvements. The only thing exoddus is missing in my opinion, is that dark feeling from oddysee.

As I recall, there was an uncredited voice actor in Oddysee. Someone with a better memory than me can hopefully remember the name of that person.

The credits list Lorne as doing Abe's voice in every game.

Lorne: You know, the first Abe was slightly different. I thought I was the voice of ‘Hello’ in the first game but actually it was Josh Gabriel and that was cleared up later. We both did all these recordings. He did Abe’s voice by biting his tongue and saying ‘Hello’. I wanted him a bit more goofy and a bit more legible. So, it’s funny that on the first game it was actually Josh on the button and in the second one it was me.
Re-reading that, I'm not entirely sure if he means Gabriel's voice was the only one in the first game or not.

I tried, but it did not sound like Abe. Even though I didn't expect it to work, I was still disappointed.

Re-reading that, I'm not entirely sure if he means Gabriel's voice was the only one in the first game or not.
He meant that some of the voice was done by Josh Gabriel but most was done by him. And he was only addressing the word 'Hello'; not the voice as a whole. It was different because it was more than a year later when they recorded for AE and the way he did the voice developed over time.
