The scent of Oddworld
 

This may sound wierd, but the other day I found my old PS Abe's Oddysee. I looked through the booklet and for some reason sniffed it. I noticed it had this unique smell to it, so i gathered all my oddworld games. AE, Munch and stranger's book all have that same smell. Do your oddworld games have a smell to them? or am I just a wierdo...

I now have the urge to check...

Wouldn't know about the smell of the games, but I used to play the AO demo over at a friends house a lot and I still associate the smell of his room to Rupture Farms. And no, his room did not smell like a meat plant.

My Art of Oddworld book smells like my Abe's Oddysee manual. :D

Could it be like the same paper material?

not exactly, I compared it to my other PS game manuals.., and oddworlds is different.

Oddworld does have that lovely, musky smell to it. ;)

I love the smell of Pokemon Cards. Takes me back to my childhood.

I associate the smell of wet plants after a fresh rain, and that sort of earthy smell of dirt and moss to Oddworld. Probably because as a kid, I would go into the forest and pretend I was there.

I remember that the GT Mode disc of Gran Turismo 2 had a little easter egg. If you rubbed the disc with a dry cloth for a few seconds then smell it, the disc would start to smell like a pit stop. I found it rather cool.

No, no it's not. You're only deluding yourself that it is, but trust me, it's not. Unless you kept all your oddworld manuals in some sort of really awful condition that they developed their own smell over time.

My pc version smells like normal paper.
I can't find my PS1 version...

My MO manual smells like cannabis.

My Abe's Oddysee smells ever so faintly of cake. Fresh cake, I might add.

My manuels all smell like... Nothing really.

My manuals smell like every other one I had but it's not a bad smell.

My Oddworld manual has very, very minimal musky smell to it. I have to make my nose touch it.

Other wise, it smells bland.
