Where do you work?
Where do you guys work? What is good pay what is bad pay? I need to get a job soon so you guys can give me advice as well as have a fun thread (if there isn't one already).
|
I don't work. I just stay at home eating cheetos while masturbating.

Metroixer lives the life.
Im guessing you still live with your parents MM, so just take a minimum wage retail job. |
I can't imagine myself being able to balance homework, extra curricular activities, instrumental practice and a job so I don't work right now. I have made money in flute competitions, but the most was around $40. I plan on going busking with a friend of mine soon and, given our talents, I'm expecting to make some notable amount of money (for a day's worth of standing around having fun).
So other than here and there flute things that aren't even really jobs, nowhere. |
I ply a meager trade in the disease-ridden dank depths of the Jungles of Lustria, ferrying would-be adventurers to their demise upon my worn riverboat.
|
I work here, doing the time-over-time tried, but never perfected art, of annoying the masses, the good-willed forumers. I live as a sophisticated aristocratic pretentious troll, evolving to avoid banment. My payment is your misery and agony. I am the reaper. Of content.
|
You honestly consider yourself a... what was it? A "sophisticated aristocratic pretentious troll"? You don't qualify for any of that, dickshit.
|
But don't you see, that's where the pretentious part comes in. Pretentiousness makes the world go round, genitaliafeces. Besides, isn't your utter rage just proof of my expertise?
|
Is it okay to not have a job before you're 15?
|
Yes.
|
:
Anyways, I'm probably gonna get a summer job in a month. (Even though I am 14.) |
:
But seriously, folks, I'm heading towards eighteen now and I've never had a job. I do need to get one, but - before you're fifteen? You should laze around while your parents still buy everything for you. |

|
Nah, I want to earn my money.
|
Unless you manage to get a job that pays very good money, you won't really be making anything.
|
My friend gets like $9/h for sitting there supervising little kids. And they let her go on Facebook with her phone. I despise her.
|
You might have read in my blog about my job hunts. I've apllied for loads of jobs but it seems that nobody wants me :crying: I have one more job application to hand in to work at a bar. All I need to do is get my reference to list their contact details and the form is ready to hand in. I did find this vacancy at the job center so hopefully I have a better chance of getting in.

Me to. It's the only job I've really found that has the right working hours for me. It said that the job would maninly involve working weekends and that the hours are negotiable so thats perfect for me!
|
I really hope you get the job! (:

These days I work as a freelancer, doing camerawork for TV broadcasts and stuff. Basically I get to negotiate my own pay and what jobs I want to do. It pays alright after all the taxes and fees...
Other than that I get some income from two websites I run and I'm thinking of starting up a separate channel on Youtube and make some cash that way. |
I wish I was you.

Oh at first, oh yes, God yes, and it gets greater every second - it's bliss - and then it's gone, too soon, too soon, and I am left in a huddled heap upon the ground, cooling in a puddle of my own ejaculatory fluid, cursing this life I live and the whole sorry state of my existence.

Like my father, after two weeks of school being over I'll be doing job hunting. Probably I will end up working at Tesco's but also I will be shadowing at one of the barrister firms in London this summer and maybe I will be making side money by the end of this year from C++.
Oh and bee keeping, yeh if you're looking for money don't do that, I currently stand on a loss of £400 over two years. I won't be making profit probably until 2013~. |
:
What things would you be doing in C++? |

A hive is extremely expensive and so is all the maintenance, selling my honey makes some of the initial cost back (£7+ a jar) but the real money is in queen breeding and I have yet to sell or grow any for retail purposes.
|
So I take it your profit would come fromt he queen breeding?
