Lorne Lanning Interview

http://www.eurogamer.net/articles/20...e-another-game

For those of you who haven't yet seen this enjoy :)

I had seen it, read it, and found it the same as every other interview with Lorne I've ever read.

Thanks for sharing... A shame Lorne does not tell us anything new though.

At least he hasn't given up :)

The reason I posted this was because I thought the quote "They way I'm looking now is, how do I turn YouTube and Facebook into one game? That's the game-ified thing I'm focused on right now. If we figure that out, and I think we have, then it's a game changer." would be an interesting discussion. :)

I liked the interview he did about the Stranger's Wrath multiplayer. That was revelatory.

Why is he always trying to be a pioneer in everything? Yeah great visions, make some money first.

They already do Facebook and YouTube games, and they also include blogs, telephone and mail. They're called Alternate Reality Games (ARGs) and I have no idea how you find them.

There are only two that I've ever known.

One is the Portal 2 promotional ARG.
The other is the Marble Hornets ARG.

They look fun, but I guess there's not that many of them because they talk a lot of effort and thought to create and run.

Xavier 05-23-2011 10:43 PM

Yeah Arg are fun but I doubt Lorne was talking about that. Rather a game in which you could use some content provided by FB and YT.

Batman the dark knight had an ARG. it was so big it even made the news in america :O . Lorne should just stick to what he knows though and make games. or atleast try and finish something off ...

Xavier 05-24-2011 10:48 PM

Finishing stuff? Sounds like boring work better left to be handled by developpers such as JAW...
