Stranger's Wrath Question
Hi all, this may seem like an odd(:D) question, but is it possible in SW to take on more than one main bounty at once? I need to know for a project and I don't have any time to play through it again to check.
On a different note; I've been lurking these forums for a little while and it's really awesome to see so many people who love Oddworld talking about it like this. I honestly think Oddworld is one of the most (if not THE most) interesting games universe out there and I can't wait to see more of it in the future. |
than wait for the new game we are :D
also im not sure i havent played it in so long and this should probably be in oddworld help EDIT: oops i thought this was in off topic :P |
Hey welcome to the forums man! I hope you're a stayer, not like those people who just stay for like 2 days and don't come back. (And I hope to god that the other guys don't scare you off too).
As for your question, I don't think you can. I'd have to check on that one but again, it's been such a long time and my Xbox is broken :/ |
Thanks for the replies; I don't really want to wait for SW HD to come out because I really want to get my project finished before then (call it a self enforced deadline).
I intend to hang around for a while; you'll probably be sick of me soon enough ;) |
I don't think that's possible, the missions starts as soon as you select your bounty at the bounty store and you are not allowed to pick an other one when the mission has started.
|
I believe each mission path has certain obstructions in the programming that would disallow you from capturing any bounty other than the one you chose from the bounty store.
I remember I wandered into Lefty Lugnutz's territory between missions and neither he or his gang were there. |
Now bear with me on this because it has been a very very long time since I've played SW. After capturing the robot. I cannot rememebr his name now all I remember is he's a robot. Anyway after capruting him when you are escaping from his base 2 enemies would appear on the radar but I could never find them. Can somebody give me some info on this? Not sure if this is off topic, I don't believe so since we are talking about capturing bounties.
|
Yep, that annoyed me too, even after capturing every bounty in the area. Maybe just randomly placed enemies that were left in accidentally?
|
His name is Elboze Freely.
|
He's not a robot; he's an outlaw wearing armour.
In case anyone can't remember what we're talking about, it's at about 12:12 in this video. My impression was that Elboze's tunnels pass near one of the later sections of the game and those are enemies that you kill later on. |

I'd like to know his backstory. Perhaps another patient(victim) of Doc's medical (mal)practice. |
:
Elboze was probably my favorite outlaw fight in the game. But its hard as hell to get him alive... atleast when I last played through for the 32nd time. |
Elboze was my favourite fight in terms of the learning curve. Every other boss can be defeated by a mixture of running, hiding and firepower. With Elboze, there's a certain way to do it, and you can piece it together yourself.

Are you fucking serious?
Is Elboze is the outlaw you face in an arena type thing and he only attacks you with hist fist? He was the hardest motherfucker in the whole game. Harder than Sekto and his octigi IMO. Then the internets told me how to beat him. |

Still was a fun battle. Love game battles that require certain tactics to defeat them. I did play it on pc though. So didn't have to deal with the controller setup. |
Well I figured out how to defeat him while mystified by his cry of "where's my bath armour?"
