Hmm, something about the graphics at the bottom of the page seems funny to me, doesn't look so high poly...dunno maybe I'm moaning for the sake of it but that scrab makes me want to cry a little.

I liked the updated big bro slig and stranger but I prefered the old red colour of the scrab. The new one looks alright apart from that though.

What I was saying was, I don't want them to rush it to fit it in the expected date (Munch's Oddysee).

They are the same Pictures they showed us at Gamecitynights. Can't wait.

I agree, the slig is probably my favourite out of all of them, it's cool to see how detailed it is compared to the original.

I wish they would quit calling it the "Oddworld Pentalogy" isn't it called the Oddworld "Quintology"... anyways the screenshots are looking good :D

I was thinking the same thing but I guess it doesn't really matter soon as (I assume) they mean the same.

They better improve the third game properly.
No offense but originally it was a fucking disaster.

It wasn't that bad, it wasn't the best but I woudn't call it a disaster.

Controlls were a disaster, then again, so was the controller :-)

As a platformer. As an Oddworld game it still was in my opinion a disaster.

The gamespeak controls weren't very good, but the black and white buttons were a stupid idea but that's microsoft's fault.
Thank god they replaced them with bumpers now :).

The physics were fucking horrible. They made me actually enjoy Munch's slow hopping with the sound effect because at least it seemed more realistic than running around as Abe with complete disregard of gravity.

It was the movement that sucked SOOO BAD.
Black and white buttons worked pretty good for what their function was in this game. Further I don't really know, as I only played Halo as the other games on the Xbox :) (And Stranger of course). Purely bought the system for Oddworld!

I don't know how many times I mis jumped because of the freaking bad movement controls/camera action. Played it not too long ago, and Odd, that was one of the most frustrating play I had in a loong time cause of the freaking movement controls.
And I play all my games on the most frustrating ways possible (the harder the better I like it). But this was just no fun. Beating a hard game is fun, beating an unplayable game is NOT fun :).

I bought the system for the same reason as you Erwin, a shitty Xbox with no life left in it and the two oddworld games + battlefront 2. The controls went well with the controller but that was it.

Maybe Squeek's will be the EPIC journey Lorne talked about years ago. If I remember well, Squeek was the first character that Lorne first created or something like that, right? And maybe we got some info in the (long) future about Nod. Man, JAW is reviving this thing like some mofo Phoenix.

Not that we know about. It's theoretically possible that some of the art that they published was planned to be used in Squeek, but it was never labelled as such.
