Went to the grocer's store today, I reckon we're safe, the TV is still working and nothing has changed. It's all the Russians fault they say. Even the BBC. No rationing, you can still pick up radio signals from some of America, we can get 'Smooth Curve Washington'. Some French refugees came through today, they weren't allowed to talk to us but before one was taken away, he shouted at the top of his voice, "De la Russie en Pologne, et de se rapprocher." I still don't think we should be worried though, especially if its just Poland!

Nevertheless we are going to stock up some food, Luther suggested it, that way we miss panic buying if anything happens. We ideally want seven weeks food in the house, we'll fill up the larder and the cupboards. I've become obsessed with sharpening my meat knife. There was an interesting broadcast talking about riots in Italy...poor devils.

Mmmm, apopalyptic story? I may enjoy this.

Three Polack's came into the village today, they talked little about the problems that they faced and were more interested in brutalising the USSR regeme. They told us, in quite good English, about things called gulags, death camps like those in the holocaust! They were taken away shortly afterwards.

We noted that there were no new papers today, just re-prints of old ones, someone said that soon the newspapers will stop writing due to a government lock down on free media. Such a shame that the Daily Mail won't be able to post their paranoid bull any more.

We're taking the car down to Hastings tomorrow, Sussex is such a nice place and we are deciding to visit the family. Luther doesn't want to go, he hates my parents but I told him that one day when we get married he'll have to at least endure them so it's best to get practice at pretending to like them.

I thought I was pregnant last night, a real shocker, the last time I ever buy one of those 99p tests. They should be scandalised!

Lucky we went south, British Supremacists wreaked havoc across London all the way to Hertfordshire for four hours, apparently they caused £8,000,000 of damage and with all our troops fighting in France, they were left unchallenged until a militia group formed to put them down. What is our government up to thinking that this should happen? More importantly how can those supremacists believe in any mindset that the Indian's living in St. Albans are too blame? The Sun issues a shit stirring piece about chemical development in Srinagar for the Russians and now four hundred are dead. No wonder the government is censoring the media.

Their getting closer though, apparently the front in Paris has fallen and they are making it to Dieppe and from there Normandy, anyone who has a case of the disease that gets through security will go straight to England, Portsmouth probably. That's what happened in Japan. Also, we can't get any radio signal from America any more, they're all down! Even the emergency broadcasts are silent. What's going on?

They're in, they're fucking in! A whole horde of them seem around Heathrow, the whole city area is under quarantine. The radio is down so we left Hastings and went back home, apparently some politicians on a plane back from Moscow became infected after battling their way through a horde and some may have inhaled or digested some body matter or blood, anyway, they got of the plane feeling ill with a headache or something and in the night they went on a rampage, they have died now, but who knows how many of the infected escaped?

So close to us as well, we haven't got any weapons besides a javelin from last years summer sports and as many kitchen knives as a woman needs. I can't think what we're going to do but if they get closer we're going to live upstairs apparently. Luther said he will destroy the staircase and reckons they won't be able to clime anyway. This is much scarier that Castro and his missiles, although I'll bet they're relevant now, I mean, the world should come together at a time like this?

We're pulling troops out of France now as well. Thank goodness.

They come from all corners. Silence. Biting mind numbing silence. Even the wind sleeps, all there is is the constant drone of the outside, thousands and thousands, from here to York, the radio is static the TV wires are cut the taps are leaking brown fluid and the gas is soon to go. We lost the dog to the horde and now we can't even go into the back garden because three of those shambling monstrosities have broken down a gap in next doors fence and are parading around trying to catch the pidgeons. When this will end I don't know but we can sometimes here artillery shells firing in London, I just wish we could get out and see. At least they can't break in, although very slowly they are tearing down the barricades.

It's weird, It's the silence that gets you, the terrible silence.

I don't know what day it is, a month might have gone by? I don't know, they're everywhere, so tired, we got told to chalk on the roof but what do we do if we don't know the day, I put May 23rd in advance just in case but if that day passes we're in trouble.

They're zombies, beasts, shuffling monsters, all over everywhere, neighbours got bit, road cut off, if it's not them it's raiders sporting molotovs burning down houses. We're gonna move tonight I think.
