First Gigs?
I went to my First gig at Rock City Nottingham yesterday.
the band were Killing Joke and they were amazing. so i'm keen to know, what was your first gig/consert and what band was it? |
never been
|
it was a Kraut Band named Übermenschen Verteilerdrucker
|
Motörhead, December 2009. Motörhead isn't my favourite band, but it was pretty awesome. My ears hurt after that though.
|
I saw Madness live 2 years ago when they were in Australia.
That was fucking cool. |
I'm not gonna say anything, because I've already been criticised once today.

I went there for my first gig, too. It was about five years ago though. It was a bit ghey, but there was lots of poon so it was fun in that department. |
I'm waiting for my gig cherry to be popped by a band I really fucking like and this would either be CoF or Alter Bridge. And although Alter Bridge is playing in the Download Festival I'm not going to see them because it isn't exclusively them I'll be paying a ticket for.
(live bands in bars do not count for me, I've seen many of them) |
Some Local collection of Metal bands. I was 15, so no booze or drugs. Just pop and poptarts. The show was in a small club and the acoustic-as-hell walls combined with a generous jolting of bass loosened my bowels considerably.
7/10 |
Black Stone Cherry, Apollo 2009 or 2010, I forget. Fan-fucking-tastic! 1/2 a pint for me and 1/2 for my mate, was the first time I had a beer without my parents around. Went to the concert with cotton wool in my ears to protect 'em though. Never again.

Lucky fucking bastard. My first concert was Aerosmith with Lenny Kravitz supporting. I was 13. It was pretty meh. |

|
Ministry at the State Theatre. It was their tour for Filth Pig.
|
All of you guys have such awesome first gigs. I envy you.
|
November/December time I went to see We Are Scientists and The Drums respectively. It was fucking awesome. Wasn't something I expected to do for a long time, but it was something worth doing. That moment when the music starts playing and you get sort of a weird feeling like your whole body is vibrating. It's weird but great, like losing your musical virginity.
|
Ive never been to any goos 'gigs'...
First time, my sister dragged me to the annual 'green concert' which has a bunch of lame danish musicians. Second time was this Bryan Adams concert. It was awesome. But only because I collected all the cups that people had thrown around(as they were hard-plastic and you got one buck for each one you turned in).... So I walked away with about 60 bucks earned. Whee. Then I went straight into McDonalds. My life is sad. |
saw a The Who tribute band called Quadrophenia about a couple of years ago with some mates. it was to raise money for MS and was held down our local sports/social club. gigs aren't really my thing, though.
|
The first concert I ever went to was Weird Al Yankovic at the Fresno State Fair with my best friend, Josh. Our moms took us.
|
First one was Marilyn Manson for the Grotesk Burlesk tour.
And yeah I saw some other and better bands live since: http://www.oddworldforums.net/blog.php?b=733 |
JEBUS.
|
He has the advantage of being in mainland Europe, most bands prefer going there than west or east Europe.
He saw Cradle & Whitesnake. /jealous |
