Decent Exoddus screenshots? (PNG, BMP, or other lossless format)
I haven't been able to find a single Exoddus screenshot on the Internet that isn't a hideous, blurry, over-compressed JPEG. Even TOGG is like that, which really surprised me when I found it.
I'd take them myself, but my emulator never shows up in them, for some reason, and I don't have a capture card for my TV. If at all possible, I'd like something from the Necrum mines. I hope that it isn't too much trouble. |
Well here is how my screenshots of the game come out:
http://filesmelt.com/dl/just_took_this.png If that is your "blurry, hideous, overcompressed" then I'm sorry because it's a .PNG (also if you want anymore, just ask!) What are you trying to do with the screenshots? |
If you have the PC verson of Abe's Exoddus, Hit printscreen and the screenshot is in great quality.

Still, could you take one without the filters? (It looks like you have some kind of scanline thing going on, in addition to the normal bicubic smoothing.) I'm using it as a reference, and I can't have anything interfering with the original graphics. :

I may end up downloading the PC version with a torrent or something. |
Warning
:
Just buy them on Steam. its cheap. |

2. There are some "HD" screen shots on TOGG, won't get better that that 3. For "best" quality use my decoder app to get the cams, thats in their "raw" state before any sort of filtering |

Isn't there like a thing where if you delete the game from your harddrive 24 hours after you pirate it then it's not illegal?
Even then, like he said he already has it. No point in buying it again I think. |
Owning a game on one platform does not grant you the right to pirate it on another one.
|
Why? It's the exact same game.

Stealing a CD after paying for a download is wrong, because someone has to lose their CD. But who loses out if I buy the CD and then download the game? The company already has my money; it isn't as if they lose my business. Piracy is wrong because pirates don't reward the labor that goes into the software that they steal. I have provided that reward, so how do I not have the right to benefit from the labor? I paid for the right to use that software; if it means using a workaround like this, so be it. |
Downloaded the PC version and found out that the "filters" in Chubfish's screenshot are part of the actual graphics. It's no longer on my computer, for what it's worth.

You have paid for the Playstation version. That licenses you to play, surprisingly enough, the Playstation version. The PC port is a totally different IP, legally speaking, and has several different stakeholders involved.
This is your final warning. Do not discuss pirating Oddworld games on these forums again. Also, please don't double post. |
Nate, i just can't read your posts seriously with "I'll breathe through your nipples" placed right below it XD

Pirates. Jesh even i don't own oddworld games on pc only ps1 still if i want to play on pc i use emulator or be lazy and just buy it on steam its cheap what you lose? Few pounds euros whatever you use in your country. And also for such great games i rather buy them than downloading it like a pirate.

And FYI you can turn those "filters" off using ddcheat.
