TF2 has gone all Charity like
Here's a touching story
Yesterday, Valve released 3 new hats on the Mann Co Store http://www.teamfortress.com/images/p...relief_aid.png http://www.teamfortress.com/post.php?id=5170&p=1 Humanitarian Hachimaki $7.49 / £4.99 Benefactor Kanmuri $19.99 / £12.49 Magnanimous Monarch $99.99 / £62.49...FUCK HOW MUCH! All the money made from the Hats goes to the Red Cross to support relief for the Japan Earthquake. Now that is pretty awesome. however if your willing to part with $99.99 / £62.49 for a hat, your more charitable then me |
You're not parting with $99.99 / £62.49 for a hat. You're parting with $99.99 / £62.49 for for charity and you get a hat as a bonus.
If I'd seen this before I donated $100AU to the Red Cross... I still wouldn't have bought it, because I don't play TF2. But I support the principle of the thing. |
To be honest this doesn't seem much more charitable than just publicly plugging the tsunami relief effort. But, y'know, if it takes a virtual hat to get people to help their fellow man in a time of need, then it's good to see Valve taking the initiative.
Looks like the Mann. Co store's achieved some good at last. Now stop giving me bloody crates. |
So you not only get to send them money to help out, but at the same time you can mock them with a slightly racist hat!
|
Those are all completely culturally acceptable examples of non-modern Japanese headwear
bitch. |
They're also all pretty stereotypical.
|
It's affectionate parody, there's nothing racist about these whatsoever.
Seriously. It's like saying the Worms accents are racist. |
My team always used Angry Scots.
OCH, AHM DEYAD By far the best. |
|
Angry Scots or bust.
