Happy B-Day Splat! I suppose it was less exciting than last year, but still hope that it was good.

Happy Birthday.

It was good. I went to Frankie and Benny's again and had another folded pizza. Not as nice as the last one, sadly, but dessert was very good.

I got some money which will go to Portal 2, LOTRO and a few CDs I've been wanting (yeah, still buying CDs and living in the 00s; what a loser I am). and a Doctor Who board game, which looks less geeky than it could have been (only about the new series! I mean did the 60s never happen to some people?!) but should be fun :p And some stuff about writing novels, which may be applied in future. Still stuck at 30,000 words (not that I've mentioned this before or anything).

A few more things are in the post, but overall it's been a fun day. So thanks everyone; it means a lot that you guys still remember my name and stuff (as for you, MunchMeechie, I shall be demanding my satisfaction from you in the near future!)

I am reminded of the time back in 2004 that I was browsing OWF at work, rather hesitantly because I was reading the Insulting Names thread and there was all sorts of obscene language being thrown around. My coworker peered over my shoulder and, strangely, the only thing he commented on was the word 'Splat', which he seemed to find strangely amusing.

Oh... Errr... apparently you didn't. Turns out I've been remembering that anecdote wrong all these years and it was actually about a member called Smell.
