GameCityNights S02E04
Hello gorgeous members of the Oddworld Forums.
As you hopefully already know, Stewart Gilray and (via Skype) Lorne Lanning will be speaking at Episode 4 of this new season of GameCityNights, which is taking place in Nottingham, UK, on Thursday 28th April. Here's the link to the official site. Tickets should go on sale in the first few days of April, and I fully intend to get mine! I also know at least a few other fans have expressed an interest, and I'm looking forward to meeting them at the event. If you're amongst those eager and likely to attend, say so here! We might be able to form a little cluster on the night. ;) |

I wish I could but I'm not old enough to go all the way to Nottingham by myself and if I asked my parents to take me they'd not have the cash/ bollock me for wanting to go to a gaming thing.

... Kinda tempted myself actually, only problem is current lack of money. I'm not sure how much it's going to hurt my purse to get the train from Stafford, it's pretty painful just going to Stoke. Granted, I could always prod housemates and make a day of it. :D
I'm estimating it'd cost me anywhere between ten and fifteen quid total, considering the ticket price and general prices of trains... |

I'm not fussed whether it's an OddTour or not, although it would probably mark the least amount of participant travel that ever went into one.
Maybe OddMeet? OddCon has to be reserved for something altogether grander. |

I had a great night! I got to see the latest projects of Amanita Design (Samorost, Machinarium), there's plenty of talks, competitions and intervals (for the purpose of buying drinks). There are also screens for showcasing indie games and there was a stand showing of the 3DS, but I didn't look at any of that.
Episode 4 will be a fun night for Oddworld fans. I'm planning on spending the whole day and night in Nottingham so I don't have to miss the start or end. |
I don't suppose there'll be a recording or something for those of us who can't attend?
