there's a thread about game soundtracks, so I think it's ok if I open a thread about movie OSTs .

omg no, the original or- o- OST was done by Jerry Goldsmith and fits much better the mood of the film. although I like Tangerine Dream.

I mean choose yourself this is much more intense




than that (altho the music is great)

I know John Williams is overdone, but this is still one of my favorite segments of his music.

Music is a something I am rather learned and passionate about. I thus consider these pieces to be nothing less than fantastic works of art.

This is one of my favorite soundtracks ever... Actually the whole soundtrack for Edward Scissorhands is just so ... nice x_x
Listening to this during a snowy day is the best thing ever.

The Rocky Horror soundtrack is a given.



EDIT: Shortly after posting this I realised that I had $20 on my iTues account. I went and bought the Rocky Horror Motion Picture Soundtrack.

The entire Lord of the Rings soundtrack is fantastic. An aural feast.

And Mystery Men has a soundtrack that couldn't be more 90's if it tried.

The 28 movie themes are awesome, though I only really like the 'In a Heartbeat' from 28 Days Later. 28 Weeks Later has a much better soundtrack IMO.

Quite possibly my favourite movie ever and this theme song gives me goosebumps every time. Holy shit, now I have an urge to watch it tonight.

I dunno if this is weird, I mean this piece of music never seemed that significant. but I friggin love it! One of my favorite movies too. x_x

The Rocky series has always had great music, but this one stuck with me the most.

I've been on a bit of a Hisaishi binge lately.

Except they use that same song like seven times.

Ooh something dramatic is happening

The entire score of the third movie will be that song. Shame too, it was so perfect at the end of the first.

OMG Memento OSt is so fucking intense!!! I mean I loved Inception and the Batman movies, but Memento and Insomnia are by far Nolan's best work.

I'm an Elfman fanatic, as Nikki will tell you. You'll find that most of his non-Burton scores are vastly superior and far more eclectic.





Sorry, but this one cuts off a few seconds short of the ending. The Men in Black soundtrack is one of my favorites. His soundtrack for Wanted is also amazing, even though the film itself was mediocre at best.

I also very selectively enjoy John Williams. His score for Hook is one of the few I can get behind.



It's best from 1:21 onward.



I also love the hell out of Alan Silvestri. This is definitely one of his quirkier scores. Reminds me of The Barber of Seville.

All of your previous posts are negated in the face of any piece of media relating to Seven Samurai.
