Play Munch's Oddysee?

bigface1 01-22-2011 08:26 PM

... I meant should I risk the download again?

Steam shouldn't cause the internet to stop working. And if it cost you $100 to fix it, you're being ripped off.

You have a choice; download Steam and play Munch or don't download Steam and never play Munch. It's up to you.

I'd risk it...something vaguely similar happened to my old PC with a graphics card and a copy of DoW2 but I reinstalled it on my new laptop...glad I did otherwise I'd never have played Dawn of War II again. Things like this happen and you blame it on things that don't cause the problem but look as if they do.

The internet stopped working? I'd personally blame anything but Steam in this instance.

If you're working on a wired connection it could possibly be the ports, the card, the cable, the router...
Wireless, it could be the card, a dongle you might be using, the router, the cables going from the router to the internets...

I have never had a problem with Steam killing my internet either. If you're nervous about it, I say go ahead and make the jump. Trying to play Munch is better than not playing at all. :)

Sounds like an old spyware infested machine or something to me

Most likely this isn't Steam's fault. So I'd say go ahead.
