weapons in ja
i managed to place the blitz packer into jedi academy(switched the golan arms model :) ) next im gonna make the slig in the game
Any screenshots?
oh yeah will upload them soon :)
sounds good
Didn't know screenshots take days to upload.
Last I checked it could be done in a matter of minutes? |
:
as for the slig,im not yet gonna polish a slig model into jedi academy, takes to mutch time, like my croco project that got scrapped cuz of lots of restrictions :( http://i1112.photobucket.com/albums/...g?t=1294159271 http://i1112.photobucket.com/albums/...g?t=1294159294 |
nice!
thx ;D
What is that meant to be??
its clearly the slig rifle
clearly.
looks more like a white stick. Its a start I guess. |
well its good, but it needs recolouring. i dont recall seeing them white in MO. :P
its a slig rifle,i still need to figure out how to place em textures, cuz i replaced it with an e-11 blaster rifle
mmm hhmmm

But yeah, nice start. When you said you got it into JKA at first I thought the whole thing was complete and all. Either way good job, and good luck fixing them up! |
yeah, its easy to import but heavy to rig cuz then jka spams about more than 1000 polys for some reason :( :/
Great man! :D I used to love playing this (still do) because of it's huge variety in mods and insane modding capabilities.
Now, can a slig be a Jedi master? Maybe a mudokon shaman? :) |
i hardly know anything about this sort of stuff, but im not sure that you can port those sort of things, you know, different game needs, (i couldnt think of any other words)
well i could port a slig or a mud,but it takes days of work :( from making segments and recliping renaming parts of bodies,to skinning then max importing, rigging a ja animation skeleton, applaing it,sending it into an xsi format, converting the xsi format to glm, then writing the model file and skin files, recognizing animations, aplying them ingame, making shaders and bots and team colours if you want..... i just dont have time :/ school starts at monday,i dont have a 3ds max that can accept the xsirecognizer plugin :(

uh ok :)(:
It would probably be better to make a new model from scratch in those occasions.
yeah, the same thing happened to my croco project :( i made a croco model and well it got scrapped :(
this is a slig that i extracted to maya(i have more pics of crocos and sligs at my account): http://i1112.photobucket.com/albums/...g?t=1294265892 and this is the high poly version of the croco http://i1112.photobucket.com/albums/...g?t=1294266020 |

The thread is getting heavily spammed. Refrain from doing so, will you? |
:
i tried to fix up the blitzpacker again into the game, but for some crazy reason,if i do not fix the blitzpacker pozition the game recognizes it and loads it as a flechette, and if i fix it up the game says the model has more than 1000 polys and breaks at loading :( |

asked already for croco and some files on the lucas forums but nothing

Amazing that filefront forums are still mostly populated by jka players :P.
I also didn't realize there were so many people here that knew and played the game :). You know what we could port to jka? Munch's chair! Yeah, I know it sounds stupid but it's intended to be stupid. Just a little tweak of the sitting-on-bike pose and pronto! Ridable chair. It would be hilarious to watch 5 players battle it out on weelchairs xD. I'm serious. ...or a glukkon for mp and sp. Hey, I've played with c3po and r2d2 and it was playable so anything's possible. Oddworld models in jka (chars and weapons) could work quite well since you can spawn friendly, neutral and enemy creatures or npc's. It is really easy to have a Glukkon as a main character in sp or mp without any ability whatsoever except being able to summon and order sligs(with their weapons equipped)/big brothers/mudokons or even herds of scrabs. Provided we have the models of course. I hope this isn't classified as spam, just some ideas :). |
ah i dont know, cuz the jka only recognizes model skeletons that are of the original rig, that means a humanoid skeleton has to be attached to a model as it is without modifications...
