Anyway, if this escalates, it'll be a standoff between China and the US. If the US backs down, they haven't got the balls to pick a fight with China, which will give it a huge ego boost. In China backs down, then NK will realize the bastards never cared much about them at all.

I wouldn't pretend to be an expert but my impression was always that China supported NK in principle due to the Communism thing, but don't particularly approve of what they do. I suspect they'll tell Kim Jong-Il to calm the fuck down.

Every now and then North Korea likes to remind everyone that they're mad. Of course, when South Korea retaliates, the North Korean civilians are told that they are the aggressors.

North Korea is worried. People keep defecting to the South, dear leader is sick and there's a revolutionary underground army training up recruits. I don't think it has long left.

Hmm, the exact details of the conflict are unknown but I doubt we should be preparing for Fallout 4...Firstly even China who is shit scared of Kim Jong Il has tried to make N. Korea sign official peace talks with S. Korea.

Oh and South Korea fired first but nowhere near the N. Korean water space, this is however hotly debated by SK who say their port was attacked. Pyongyang province is on threat level 1 so they are officially at war but there is too little information on the shelling for real info. Fingers crossed there is no escalation.

Nah, it's not gonna happen. It wouldn't be a profitable business venture for either country, China needs the US and we need them, a war with the US with ste China's economic progress back quite a bit. War is the most expensive adventure a country can embark upon.
