AO and AE Sound effects?
 
Has anyone ripped the sound effects from Ao and AE? and I mean not the Music, the in-game sounds effects?

I'm pretty sure I've read they're in sounds.dat in a RAW PCM format.
Edit:
Yes, 16 bit RAW PCM in 8192 Hz. Open with Audacity or similar as "Import Raw" and enter these settings.
Edit 2:
Also, the music is just MIDI files with sounds from the sounds.dat file as the soundfont.
Edit 3:
There are some unused sounds, like a Slig saying "Stay!"

Try searching abe's oddysee sounds, cause i ripped them all and put them in a thread.

I have figured out the format of these, I have not got around to dumping the data to new wav files yet though! I also don't know the details of the midi data to convert them to wav or whatever else either yet.

Once you get a MIDI file it's easy with a module tracker.

Is it actually just a midi though? I thought seq was only similar to midi?
