film
How about starting a thread about movies. I would like to talk about and discuss interesting and classical films with you. Maybe everyone who wanna join should present a movie by describing the plot and why he/she liked it.
ok I start The Man Who Laughs (Paul Leni, 1928) a very morbid and dark silent picture, with a great main actor (Conrad Veidt). King James II orders to operate on a boy of a knight as a punishment. The boy should have a smile for his lifetime. the images and Veidt leave a very strong mark. the film has some elements of a horrorfilm, but is mainly a romantic tragedy spiced with dark and morbid ideas. as the matter of fact, Gwynplaine (the smiling man) was the main inspiration for The Joker in Batman. http://3.bp.blogspot.com/_ZAECHDaEk4...nwholaughs.png |

anyway, what I was expecting from this thread was more a meaningful review about a movie which impressed you. but I could post something like that into the I've just seen thread and delete this one here (if wanted and possible) |
