I've heard about the flood in the news, but strangely, there wasn't much emphasis on the sludge being toxic. I can even recall it being called a "landslide" instead of "toxic sludge flood". Also, according to a local environmentalist organisation leader, the area of the flood might become similar to the surface of Mars if people don't do something quick.

Now, they will either clean up the place or start planning a Mars theme park in the area. These are my guesses.

I'd prefer the latter, I'd go to that shit.

It's not so much Toxic as...caustic? It's literally just itty-bo-bitty flecks of oxidized aluminum floacking around in the mud itself. It's not environmentally sound (at all), but toxic is inaccurate.

A local toxicologist commented that the radioactivity of the sludge is insignificant, but if these oxidized bits of iron, aluminium and such get absorbed through your skin, you might end up with some sort of damage done to your neural system, or kidney failure.

So yeah, it might not be a good basis for a Fallout theme park, but it certainly is damage enough to the area.

Condolences to the Hungarians caught up in this mess (yes, I am the first to say so) let's hope this is cleared up, hey, at least Barrack Obama can point at this as Britain's fault some how, y'know, to cover up how much of a redundant president he is XD
