I'm stuck, need help!
 

Hi friends, I recently had downloaded "Abe's Exoddus" from Play Station Store and I'm playing it right now! But I can get through, I reached the "Abe2 Paramite" part, the first place where you can take a meat from a sack, but every time it drops at the end of the rock and when I try to take it Abe is getting down! It's the same button for crouching and getting down (down arrow) that doesn't allowed me to take the meat! I tried to switch the buttons in the options menu but it's not possible too! Would somebody tell me what do I have to do? Thanks!

Crouch next to the meat and press... square I think?

Yes, what Max said. It's either square or circle. There is usually more than one way of doing something.

For any PC people struggling with the same problem, Ctrl. It took me an embarrasingly long time to work out first time round.

Ctrl? I thought it was X. Ctrl is the action button.

Doesn't X on the keyboard do the same as X on the PS, and Z on the keyboard does the same as Circle?

X on the PC is roll and Z is grenade.

Same on PS, X is to roll and grenade is Circle?
Therefore, CTR would be the same as Square.

Ctrl when crouched acts as 'slap', for timed bombs and UXBs. The same action/movement grabs a grenade/rock/meat/bone/whatever.

The problem barbarosa220 came to us with is one of the most frequent questions we get asked, despite both AO and AE teaching players that picking up objects is achieved by crouching next to them and pressing square/ctrl.

Doesn't Abe also crouch when you stand still and want to roll (press X)?
I am sure Oddysee has it like that, can't remember if Exoddus works the same.

On AE on the PC, X is to fart and Down is to crouch. X will make you roll only if you're running when you press it.

Unlike AO, there is no way to crouch whilst standing on the edge of a ledge.

Crouching on top of meat/bone/grenade will also cause Abe to pick it up, without the Slap gesture.

I know for sure that you can hoist even when in front of a door/button by pressing Up + Triangle.

Well that's very helpful, it's been really pissing me off not being able to crouch on ledges :fuzmad:
And I didn't know that you could hoist in front of a door/button either. I'm not even sure if OWI would put a ledge infront of a button.

I didn't know Abe could pick up rocks by sitting on them until I discovered it by accident.

i knew that long time with sitt on rock lol,to bad that you cant crouch on a ledge in ae :(
