New Oddworld Fangame: Abe;s Oddysee In Cartoon!
This is a new game I've been working on for about a week now. I've made like two rooms and I feel a bit like I'm wasting my time ... I want everyone to tell me if I should keep making it and tell me what I can improve on. :fuzsmile:
Okay, I've done 3 Scrabaina scenes, I can make more but I only had like 2 weeks so, yeah. I'll make 3 Paramonia scenes next, then I'll start making the WHOLE GAME if I get good feedback. Fixed the sound guys. Includes: Rupture Farms scenes 1 and 2, and Scrabania scenes 1 and 2. Sorry there is one thing I forgot to get rid of in all Scrabania levels. I forgot the hide the green floor guidelines. I can easily get rid of that later when I do Paramonia. The last Scrabania level is a bit dodgy too, once again, I can fix that :fuzwink: Once again, if you can't see the video above, click here. |

hahaha, good twist. I'd go with some other more popular scenes, opposed to.. well, the entire game. Perhaps this'd be a good place to go abouts asking for suggestions from people?

Thanks I guess. I suppose I'll make a couple more rooms. Maybe a one from Scrabania or Paramonia. I'll then upload a new video and see if people like the idea. I also would like to make a couple of Mudokons in one scene to talk to and they can reply and stuff.

Those are my sprites, as made obvious by the slig with the over proportioned forehead. Though I am thrilled to have my new, though-be-it unfinished, sprites chosen over Arxryl's for once, you didn't ask for permission.
Dun dun DUN. Luckily for you I only actually ask that permission is requested so that I can be nice and grant it and so that I'm notified on when my work actually gets used. So I'll let you off and throw in an offer: If you do continue this project, and it makes good progress, I'll continue that sprite set so you have sligs without huge foreheads and some other Oddworld species without mixing sprite sets. Ohkay, Carnix. Sorry, btw I totally forgot about asking your permission because I was actually looking for Arxryl's but I found yours in a post and saved it in my images, lol. Thanks for the permission to use it though. I really appreciate that. I hope that I don't lose interest or anything in this game but I think I'll keep going. Also, Scrabtrapman, I think I might redo the voice too. I'm working of Scrabania at the moment and I'll show you guys what the level's like.

Scrabs, paramites, elum and other non-humanoid creatures are a bitch to sprite when you use a template. With enough reason and persuasion I'll give it a go. ~Blessed be |
Yeah, I've made 2 nice Scrabania scenes and I've pretty much completed the first one, and the second one has a few mines and a slig in it, so I'm still trying to get the slig more realistic with the shooting and stuff, also I'm making it when you stand on a mine, you blow up. I have a nice patrol path for the slig. He walks over to the ledge, wait for like 5 seconds, then turns around and walks to the other side and repeats. It runs pretty smoothly.
